Not good enough for them either. They just think he is. Gateshead his level.....not good enough for league one apparenly but signed to a champo club..
100% thisWell, as for his play. As a midfield player, he couldn't tackle or challenge, he could not do the role of a defensive midfielder, the he was poor at crossing the ball and corner kicks not beating the first man, he was never any good for through balls, he was never a leader on the pitch, far from it . He was good at sprinting out onto the pitch before a game, kick off, second half looking like he was going to break out with fire in his belly but never did. As a leader and a captain of the team, he should have been willing to run at players and demolish mountains and scale heights , but never did nor lead from the front, he did however score some goals
Someone better ?Who would you have playing in Honeymans role?
Aye, but, who?Someone better ?
Can’t be hard

Absolutely pathetic to say Honeyman was one of the main reasons we didn't go up.
He was quite often on here. Thankfully here is not a very good reflection of how people go on at the games. Some people are going on as he was pelted with absolute vitriol each game FFS
Well one of the main reasons we didn't go up was because we struggled massively to create chances, he was playing in one of the main chance creating roles........
Imagine thinking we can’t sign anyone better than HoneymanAye, but, who?
Can't believe I've had to break that down for you![]()
Not sure why people are being so sensitive. It's just saying it as it is. We created minimal chances and he played in one of the most central points to this
His effort was second to none and yes he managed to score 6 goals but creatively he was up there with Gooch (after his first few months)
It plain to see if you only look. The trouble is there a people who cant see the trees for the woods.Bang on Mol.

Gooch or Embleton could be alright there.Aye, but, who?

I could turn out for Sunderland on Saturday and give my all, I’d be sh!t like. Its really weird how when we have foreign lads who don't care about the club, the fans rightly get annoyed and say things like "At Sunderland, if you're 100% committed, then we'll support you back".
Yet so many times I've seen local lads who give absolutely everything, get hammered.
I don't think its any great loss, one of far too many players in that position, and doesn't stand out. But I'd take him over others just for being committed, for being one of us.
Gooch or Embleton could be alright there.
