I was confused about the Dobson signing, particularly with McGeoch opting to stay, but this makes sense.

Leadbitter, Power, McGeoch, Dobson and Robson competing for two spots is probably still too many.

The first three are bound to pick injuries up throughout the season. Also if we end up playing 60 games again we'll need them all.

Why McGeoch he offers no leadership qualities at all? Leadbitter should be club captain and whoever is going to be an automatic choice as skipper on the pitch when Grant isn't selected, Dobson or McLaughlin (Jon)I would suggest.

I did not say I would have them as captain but believe Ross will go with them, he may think different to you and seems to have a lot of time for Mcgough, maybe it's one of the reasons Mcgough wanted to stay. Who knows. It's all guess work for me.
