He was to blame for both goals in the Playoff final anarl

Jesus

He went to close down the man correctly, their lad made a clever flick and got Lyle Taylor in behind. Then for the second he's marking two players because no one else helps him out and he gets outjumped by someone half a foot taller than him. Not remotely at fault for either goal. If you think he should be able to stop two men at once then fair enough.

The agenda some have on here against Oviedo is mental.

Their is no agenda against Oviedo other than he is a shite player taking big wages and needs to be moved on but due to those big wages nobody else wants him....

If the rumours are true that Bruge are interested in Oviedo, we will surely negotiate the deal by off setting some of his salary against the fee they pay.

"Undisclosed fee."

We can not sustain the alleged 25k a week he is supposed to be earning.

Gone by Monday.

Are we expecting an agreement announced tonight similar to the Lee Cattermole one before we can announce the new signing?

Club Brugge want him by reports in Costa Rica but can't afford the wages.

If possible I'd keep him. Much better quality than most of players in our squad

This for me. Not sure whether it was as bad as 1 in 4, but the point still stands. He did have some moments of real quality (sublime crosses, occasional through balls) but these did not happen often enough. Compare that to McGeady, who once he was up to speed after missing pre-season, rarely had a bad game.
I remember one bad game where he was hauled off after leaving Oviedo to deal with two men on his own. McGeady not tracking back and staying with his man is quite a regular occurrence - and quite often it's him who's lost the ball in the first place.

Diz stepovers n that n has a good song though so we'll let him off.

People are blinded by Bryan Oviedo, the ex premier league full back and current Costa Rica international, rather than looking at how he's performed for the lads.

He was nothing better than average last season and would be absolutely no loss at all.
Totally agree with this even if he was on 5k a week. Given he is on 30-40k a week makes it an absolute no brainer to get rid of him ASAP.

I'd expect no fee, of it gets him off the books.

In fact, if another prospective club doesn't match his wages here, unless hes feeling really generous, I'd expect wed still pay some.

Be very surprised if we got a fee and ended up not paying him still. That would be very good work.

Zany!

I dont have an agenda he is just f***ing garbage. Signed as a Premiership full back and ended up not even standing out in the third f***ing division

Just asking but would you just walk away from a huge contract?

No and i am not asking him to. I am stating in my opinion he needs to fuck off ASAP

Oh, you remember one game do you?

Are you really serious with this post, Chris? Do you think that step-overs really impress people? 15 goals, from a wide position and 5 assists, that's what impresses. Our player of the season, and in the League team of the season. It tells its own story.

We were a better balanced team with James at left back. Hardly anyone sees or recognizes that but it is a fact.

How many times did James turn his back on the ball like a coward ending up with us conceding a goal (probably the goal that cost us automatic promotion) or kung fu kicking a bloke in the face for no reason at all? (again costing us three points)

I reckon its a pretty nailed on bet that James cost us nowhere near as many points / games than Oviedo did last season

James in the cup final for 1-1 first off. Also against Accrington ball watching as their lad ran infront of him and headed in.

That's instantly without thinking
