We can't afford someone on his wage and of his talent who doesn't seem to be able to average a good game every 4 games. He will be off.

This for me. Not sure whether it was as bad as 1 in 4, but the point still stands. He did have some moments of real quality (sublime crosses, occasional through balls) but these did not happen often enough. Compare that to McGeady, who once he was up to speed after missing pre-season, rarely had a bad game.

We do

He was to blame for both goals in the Playoff final anarl

How was he to blame for the goals? Especially the first. Mental suggestion.

Watch it again and tell me what Luke ONien is doing wrestling with Josh Parker on the edge of the box whilst the rest of the defence drop in line and there's a massive gap at the back post for Purrington to run into.

It all depends on the wage situation. If shifting him frees up plenty of wages then we should do it. He’s not been all that great and certainly hasn’t justified his wage. If shifting him is only about creating a single squad space then there’s others that I’d prefer to go first.

I thought PVA was a poor fullback defensively but ok going forward and wished we had someone who could defend better. I have never wished for anything since.

Surprised we let James go when he was no worse than Oveido.

He was no worse defensively but on the ball he's a million miles away from Oviedo. Oviedo is more comfortable on the ball than most if not all our midfielders. Far more composed and able to play passes to keep possession
