Serious question

as we know children are not allowed to have a replica kit with a sponsor on that is either gambling, alcohol or betting.

How come what a young player under 18 plays for his team he can wear one?

A child is classed as someone under 18.

Serious question. Is there some rule about it?

All players in a team must wear the same shirts, shorts and socks except the goalies?

I may be wrong but isn't actually that clubs are not allowed to sell childrens kits with alcohol or betting sponsors rather than children are not allowed to wear them?

If so then this would answer the question.

Shirts of under 16 are donated with a sponsor, hope that helps

From the FA handbook...

Without limiting the effect of the above, in the case of a team comprising players all under
the age of 18 years on 31 August in the current season
, the appearance on or incorporation
in any item of clothing of any reference whatsoever to a product, service or other activity
which is considered by The Association as detrimental to the welfare, health or general
interest of young persons, or is otherwise considered inappropriate, having regard to the
age of the players, is prohibited.

It is the view of The Association that examples of such products, services or related
activities would include, but are not limited to age restricted products, services and
related activities such as alcohol and gambling.

Generally, reference to a public house or restaurant may be permissible, unless the
establishment primarily or exclusively exists for the supply and consumption of alcohol
(which is likely to be reflected in its alcohol licensing conditions).

Alcoholic drinks, breweries and products, services or activities related to gambling are
unlikely to be permissible under any circumstances.

I think its a general rule/principle that manufactures dont advertise on child shirts ..you cannot account for every situation and lawmakers and rule makers know that !just like your definition of a child has giant holes in it just like the ones in dons wallet!

Apparently it was a voluntary agreement between a number of clubs

Wasn’t there a cup final where Spurs players were wearing different shirts - some had the sponsor name (Holsten, I think) and some didn’t? It was while back, mind, like Clive Allen era, but I think so. Also there’s been times with blood injuries and stuff where players can change into shirts with no number/name on the back and such, although that’s not strictly the same

If you’re alluding to grassroots teams then there are rules regarding what can go on the strips.
When you affiliate with the FA each year you have to declare what will be on the kits.
