Oviedo but

Agreed. Will be a massive boost to get him off the wage bill....i think lots of clubs would take him but obviously not on the wages he wants.

If he was prepared to rip up his contract and not get a pay off, he would probably end up with a great move to club playing in Europe, on about 15k a week.

Unfortunately, he would prefer to be on the sidelines here picking up 30k a week.

So would I, clubs fault not his.

I'm not sure why anyone would expect him to leave. He's probably still making more money than he could get elsewhere, he's still getting picked for his national team, and his injury history and age severely limits the number of clubs who would be interested in taking him and paying him anything worthwhile. 29-year-old fullbacks who can't stay fit, have never been starters at a standard higher than dismal relegation season in the Championship, and still play for their national teams (again, risking their already dodgy fitness) aren't exactly going to have clubs lining up to sign them.
We did a deal with Catts and need to do one with this lad. He is holding the club back.

You are daft and naive.
Btw if you knew anything about me or the life I have led you would not accuse me of being naive. Tbh it’s very naive of you to throw that accusation at someone you know feck all about.
Oh I know you have a high regard for yourself but you are not the only successful person who posts on here and I expect you to retort with something similar to “ Well I can only make that remark from what I’ve seen on here “
Believe me, the real me and the naive and daft persona on here are miles apart.

He's not bleeding us dry, he signed while in the Premier on premier wages, would you leave a well payed job?.
I wouldn't.
Agree but could parley into a longer contract paying less or 1 year contract take your chances my thoughts will lose his leverage next year...

How long before his contract is up ?
I’ve just posted elsewhere but he is a major problem. He is bleeding us dry and has only ever been average no matter what league we have been in.
He has already made enough money to live like a King when he departs. He obviously knows the shit we are in and how his wages are holding this club back.
I wish he would show some compassion towards us and do a deal and feck off.
I know he has a contract but hope he has a conscience too. I’ll remember him as a leech not a good footballer.
Feck Him.

Hume is bang average

Depends how much I loved the job
I'd say most footballers want to play and achieve summit.
He could achieve more away from Safc. He's far better than league one.
What a waste of his limited years.
Granted he'll be well paid here. but he would be well paid at another club. Maybe not 2 mill a Yr, but enough to have no regrets in later life, which he will have by staying with us.

Love him as a footballer but he seems to be the logjam for us getting a couple of players in. Do the right thing Bryan get a move.
Not sure he's the logjam like. Have we spent any money on the back of Catts and Love moving on?
Owners said no one needed to move this pre season in order to being players in. Now seems that was a load of shite or they were banking everything on the takeover going through.

When is he due back for training?

He needs to be back with us asap to get up to speed again whether that's to get a move away or play a part for us.

Saving up for a cheeky bid on Bale

True, Ross’s comments on one in one out really pissed me off and completely contradicted everything that had been said earlier.

If we brought in 6,7,8 without letting anyone go we would be looking at a squad of 30 or something. It's not that big a leap to understand why were doing one out one in.

It's not reliant on it being the big earners either, although it would help.

Loovens & Oviedo are the obvious two that we should be looking to leave and bring in 2 first teamers that will contribute more than them.
