Enquiries for Heneghan

big part of the problem was-the CBs just launched it long and conceded possesion-or gave it short to someone who launched it long-and that gave possesion away as well.
Like I said it caused a disconnect between the midfield and the forwards. Gave opposition teams the chance to press in midfield so the only space was further up the pitch, hence the hoofs up front to an unsupported Wyke / Grigg.

 you must be watching a different player to me mate
Could be. The player I watched got off to a bad start, partly because of the presence of Loovens alongside him, but was much better later in the season. I'm not saying he's brilliant, and I dont like his holding at dead ball situations, but he's far from rubbish. Could we get better? Almost certainly yes, but we have worse.

We don't have the cash or wage headroom to go out and buy the kind of quality that will give us enough clean sheets to win automatic promotion. Those 1-1 draws cost us dear in the end. What we desperately need is a central defensive partnership that can inspire enough confidence to allow midfielders to get forward. A decent CB pairing should never be more than about 10 yards apart and be ready to cover each others (inevitable) mistakes all the time. I presume Willis is a nailed-on starter, so the question is who will work up a decent partnership with him. Battleship Loovens is sunk IMHO, so it's time for one of the others to step up now. Any money we do have to spend might be better used on another striker/No10, who can form a similarly productive partnership at the other end, but even that might not be necessary if we find the right combination from Grigg/ Wyke/ Maguire/ Embleton/ Watmore???

I haven't said we need to spend more money; never, not now, not ever. Let alone again. I was suggesting we coach what we've got.
Can I suggest you might be confusing me with someone else? I've watched this club for 60 years, matey, and I've seen what overspending can do. Many times.
Spelling, punctuation and capitalisation need work, BTW. 4/10
