He's a wicket taker that's for sure - thing was he wasn't as fast as Woody and that's what the FTECB were after despite Rushy being the highest wicket taker in the County game that season ....... if only he'd worked a bit harder on his batting he might have stood a better chance! The FTECB selector was at the Riverside quite a few times when rushy was at his peak. Took Onions and damaged his back trying to change his action! Don't dare think what they would have done to Rushy's back!
