Our owners

Opened thread expecting the usual phoooey...... had to sit down in shock at the positive outlook he’s found.
Me thinks he’s been hacked tbh.

3 very good buys for me and mcgeady signing a new deal is fantastic now for the final hurdle we need a winger and a attacking midfielder get them two in then i don’t think you could have asked anymore from the owners

Last season showed signing players does not work. We signed loads last season and few if any were any good last season.

positivity turns to negativity so fast on here, we have signed a few players lets wait and see how it pans out before we go praising anyone..
Aye let’s wait, not that we have any choice but I’vebeen waiting over 60 years. At least owners with not enough money settles it.

We'll see what happens. We are obviously under pressure financially still and we'll end up paying off Oviedo so not like we're flourishing.

Main issue for me is the manager at the moment anyways, needs a good start to the season.

They're also tied to the success of the manager so that is 90% of whether you're seen to be doing a good job or a bad job.
Why should the manager suddenly change? I doubt that will happen.

And what about the last 12 months? I think the last year is more than enough to be the judge of how well or badly the owners have ran the club and if the last twelve are anything to go by I am petrified for the next twelve.
why? they have done a quite excpetional job off the pitch. tuened us from a financial baskey case into something sensible, while still managing to spend more than all our rivals combined AND even this summer have added five players to the squad. They have made horrnedous mistakes as well of course.

This for me.

JR, the coaches, the players, etc, must be aware of the wave of discontent with Honeyman not only as captain but if he actually warrants a place in the side.

Could’ve made the decision to change it and saved GHs face by saying ‘he wants to concentrate on his game and let someone more experienced lead the side’.
Something along those lines.

Instead we will go into the season with supporters backs up already.
Anyone going into the season with their “backs up” over Honeyman remaining captain is an utter wanker, not a supporter like.

Well people are, as has been evident all over social media after the announcement.

He’s not cut out for the job.
As I said, that makes them utter wankers. Look at every club on social media and you’ll find any sort of post made by the club is followed by a section of their support behaving like cretins.

I think Ross was spot on about the captaincy. People put far too much stock in who is wearing the armband. Natural leaders will always shine through and it’s pretty much irrelevant who is actually wearing the armband. If people want to go into the season against the players/manager for that, they can fuck off for me. Not what we need at all.

Things do feel more positive than a week or so ago. The signing of Willis has been a tonic and I think, also, that we're starting to see the logic of the general plan. Quite right. We're probably 2-3 players off having a very good squad.

I’d probably take more notice of your points if it weren’t for the profanity and abuse towards fellow fans.

I don’t class anyone going into the season with that sort of attitude as a “supporter”. It goes against the very definition of what a supporter is.

Seems a very odd thing for someone to do, to be honest.

Because a couple of people have whipped themselves up on social media, you dont change your captain.
