Moyes buys, 2 year on.

If Bruce does turn down the scum ( mind its looking more hopeful he hasn't judging by his latest comments)

Hope Ashley gans for Moyes

How you mean one hand tied

He had £30 million & blew it on utter shite

A limited budget, unable to sign anyone decent. I very much doubt anichebe, Gibson et al were part of the master plan

David Moyes - Purchased players

Ndong- absolute flop n lost circa 13m
Papy - pap n lost about 8.
Love - shite n couldnt give him away.
Mcnair - reasonable broke even
Pienaar - sicknote/poor.
Mika - unused
Anichebe - sicknote.
Lescott - few quid for another pal, 2 appearances.
Gibson - sicknote/alcoholic.
Oviedo - cant get shot, another pal way overpaid.

What a sickening tenure that useless, boring, ugly twat served for us. Set us back a decade imho.
Some of his dealings should be looked at given his relationship with them players. We paid way way way over the top for players who were finished at the top level

Been said on here but completely agree.
Imo had no intention of stopping here for long but happy to set a few old pals up for a good few year.
Get more pissed off each time I read that list.
At best gross negligence, at worst god knows

I know often folk bring in players they know but 70/80%? Feck off.

Reading this really makes it hit home that for all the clubs financial woes and Short, it was Moyes who took us down fair and square. Awful appointment.

Every manager makes poor buys. However, his were that bad and given his relationship with as you say up to 80% of them it does need looking at.

No wonder Ellis Short had his end done in with him.

With hindsight short should have sacked him

Every time Short sacked someone it saved us on,ybtime he doesn't boom

NDong was a very poor signing. I’m still not convinced he was Moyes choice though. Iirc that deal was already some way down the line when Moyes arrived. I might be wrong though
Considering he was signed just before the deadline suggests you are wrong.

He was lazy in the transfer market and not committed to the job.

Ego

You arent allowed to sack managers. I've read that somewhere.

I just think he was sticking to players he knew. Moyes was such a disappointment in several ways, looking back

80%, most deemed not good enough at their present clubs. Did he expect them to step up to the plate collectively at Sunderland or did he not give a shite?
4 or 5 were horifically injury prone and another an alcoholic.

What a disaster that appointment was.
I was over the moon when he was appointed. That soon turned to worry when he said that we were in a relagation fight. Then we got worse.
For a experienced manager who had spent about ten year in the EPL, he had no idea about keeping us up. Being optimistic was hard work and the January transfer window was disappointing.

That’s not a good list. I know he was restricted somewhat with cash to spend but some of those signings even for free where shocking.
