Empire's Top films of the past 30 years

Overstating slightly for comic effect but Yoda refers to him by name in the film and it was all around the time Order 66 was given out to kill the Jedis, with confirmation that Anakin Skywalker had turned to the Dark Side. There were definitely some conversations in Eps 4, 5 and 6 that would have gone better if Chewie had said something
Possibly, hmmm I'm not sure it's so hard to remember what actually happens.

Does Yoda definitely know it's anakin who's helping out the emperor at this point etc.

Strange one. I imagine calling him by name is standard, they're in a battle. I'm sure at one point he went and your name is....?

Anyway, my criticisms of the last jedi have nothing to do with the "broflakes" and tbh I was pissed off they got so much traction cos it covered up for the obvious crap that movie included.

If you go on youtube you can see any number of videos that follow the exact same criticisms I had starting with the "your momma" joke ... all the way through to somehow a lass who grew up her entire life on a planet made of desert can now swim.... to mary poppins (in the cinema everyone laughed at this part).... to admiral holdo showing the rebels should have just been warping through ships this entire time.... to luke having a really poor death without a real fight.... to the shockingly badly choreographed fight scene in the big chamber...... and finishing with that awful cringing line from rose at the end.

That barely scratching the surface aswell. It was just a really poor story, written awfully and I can't help but think they should have planned the whole trilogy out properly instead of giving it to 3 different directors (at the time) to write up their own stuff.

I mean rey is such a great character with a great back story, it would have been fantastic if she was fleshed out properly but instead they decided to make her a mary sue, she's unbelievably good at everything for no reason whatsoever. Where's her journey? Where's her becoming the Jedi to finish everything off.

I mean so far she's had 2 light sabre battles in the space of (The last jedi literally picks up where tfa left off) about 7 days after only picking one up for the first time and she's won/drawn both.

She shoots ships out of the sky sometimes 3 in 1 shot and she seems to be an absolute natural with the force.

Not to mention the absolute waste of gwendolyn christie, one of the most impressive actresses of this generation who could genuinely pull off a believable female powerhouse of a bad guy and she's just wasted.

I won't go on... Ranting about star wars ffs..... but it is so frustrating.

I've never considered that much of a plot hole at all really. I never even considered it one 'til people started saying Rogue One fixed it.
It's not a plot hole technically, lets face it, it was done because the original didnt have the budget for a proper space battle.

So they say that the empire arent aware of this small hole and they dont consider a small group of ships to be a threat... considering how much of a weakness it is

But its been joked about for years, some canny funny sketches of stormtroopers showing the emperor they just need a plank of wood to cover this whole but they haven't got enough money left to afford a 2x4 etc.

Atleast it gave it more purpose and it wasn't just the empire are incompetent.

it's a far better tale that it was designed there on purpose as an actual intentional fault within the design

Some good shouts in there, a lot would be in my top 5 for their year.

How am I supposed to know what year films came out  There should be a dropdown list to chose from on each year.
