Decent/affordable lodges with hot tubs in North East

Looking to get away for 1/2 nights and some of the prices I have seen are up to £400 - surely they aren't all this price or am I just out of touch with English holidays in the Brexit shananigans?

Anyone been to one with their lass/wife/lover recently that they can recommend?

Depends when you’re looking to go obviously but as we’re approaching the summer holidays prices will start to ramp up. I’d still only expect to pay £150 a night top end but would be disappointed if it was more than £100 non-school holidays.

Look on AirBnB for alternatives.

We stayed at Kielder earlier in the year. Had a lovely lodge with hot tub for 3 nights and already booked up for next year and it's £400 not sure if they do any shorter stays. They are lovely lodges mind and the park can't do enough for you

I think size matters in this instance - they often cater for families/groups so are priced accordingly.

Have stayed here before in a wigwam with a hot tub next to it.
Herding Hill Farm -A luxury campsite on Hadrian's Wall

Lovely site. Clean and quiet. Toilet block was spotless and had a bathroom with a proper bath in which is useful if you have bairns. Basic cooking facilities, a fridge and a toilet and washbasin in the wigwam. Days spent walking round all the Roman sites and evenings in the hot tub. Was a canny break.
