Regarding the environment, are we fucked?

We are probably are fucked however I think we should give a shit what we do as individuals.

If everyone did that then we would be making a difference, even if it is only small.

Hell bent on showing the World they are a super power.
If it moves they eat it. If it’s solid they build with it.

A problem they are going to have is managing the next generation.
They love western values and don’t want to be suppressed.
It was an experience for sure.
They are brand conscious but virtually all live in a high rise box apartment.
Would hate to live in that society but slowly slowly they are seeing how the West live and heads are turning.
As for their eating habits ffs but I ate some shite with them for sure and am still alive :)

People do live like that, they just like to think putting tins in the recycling box makes up for driving, central heating and holidays abroad, things that may cause an inconvenience in life if they had to go without.

It's the hypocrisy that gets me. "Ooh I recycle all my stuff according to the rules, which costs me almost nothing in any way, what needs to happen is that hundreds of millions of people who are poorer and darker-skinned than me should die so that the planet can be all nice for the rest of us."

That seems to be the f***ing gist of it, amyway.

There isn’t much of an alternative though for a lot of people. Unless they cycle to Skegness with bales of straw wrapped around them.

I’m not a denier (that word doesn’t look right, probably got it wrong!) and do think we’re contributing to global warming and could do an awful lot to slow it down but I do also believe there are contributing factors outside human control.

Fucked anyway. Global modern human civilisation isn't compatible with the scale of the changes necessary to negate the environmental collapse. It would take a concerted global war footing type change in financial markets, food supply chains and an about turn in human behaviour to prioritise nature instead of profit and the accumulation of wealth.
