Cattermole gone

Yeah. Not even close. Last season was an absolute anomaly that Catts couldn’t repeat if he played till he’s 50.

He is more of a threat from range however Leadbitter can't get into the box. Cattermole was popping up everywhere in the 18 yard box.

Totally disagree , he's been a well paid servant but was part of the team that dropped two divisions. He has fitness issues and his best days are behind him .
I wish him well.
Jack Ross has done well to move him on and relieve the club of his huge wages.
It's time for fresh legs in the middle of the park with pace which we've needed for many years.

Indeed he was (as was Honeyman by the way). Cattermole was / is finished at those levels but he was more than competent in league one and was our best performer in central midfield last season. As things stand, our squad is weaker without him in it. My concern is that the manager and owners think we have enough in the midfield department as there has been recently talk of too many midfielders. Its a worry that they may move on Cattermole and don't actually replace him

The same wailing fannies are those who spend Saturday afternoon on a match day thread complaining that we have 3 similar central midfielders.
Agree, I said that on another post, too coincidental that Donald deleted his Twitter. I have a feeling we are in for a few more shocks.
Me too marra. If we are losing JM as rumoured on here, that's our two best players from last season, IMHO.

Name his top 5 achievements with us. Name 1 thing he won with us. He was f***ing shit and was only here for so long because he was a laughing stock and national joke to all other football fans in the country and had his feet firmly under the carpet to go out on the piss whilst he was injured. Hopefully this is a turning point where the sickness is finally being cured. Step in the right direction.
has anyone won anything with us.

Heaven help us if they think that in Leadbitter, they have it covered!

And I'm not sure Leadbitter at 33 has what he used to have. He looked finished last season. Slower and less mobile than Catts.
Oh aye there’s only one role for either of them. That’s sitting In front of the defence. Once you remove the question of mobility, Leadbitter is the superior player from an attacking perspective. That’s before you consider the inevitable wage gap. We shouldn’t be paying top dollar for a specialist who can’t perform outside of a limited role. With Catts moving on we’ve probably reduced our outgoings on immobile defensive midfielders by two thirds.

I wonder if this was one of the reason stewy fucked off twitter for now?. For as many cattermole haters there are there’s just as many who love him so he’d be getting a fair bit of stick on twitter right about now. Massive wages off the wages bill ironically he’s left after one of the better seasons he’s had for f***ing ages here.

Agree with what you're saying however Cattermole was fucked under Moyes so wouldn't blame him for the relegation there. Fitness was awfully managed, same goes for Kirchhoff.
