and that's why (the money) he's off to China
His Achilles heel is he plays dull negative football. Just ask any Liverpool fan. He has now been totally overshadowed by Klopp.

They absolutely loved him the day they appointed him. The True Geordie made a video on it and he was absolutely gushing. It's because he's a big name and he's won stuff so it makes them feel warm and fuzzy because deep down they know they are a minnow compared to the Prem big 6. That's why they harp on about 52,000 when none of the top 6 do because, well, they regularly win trophies.
Like when they signed an over the hill crock named Michael Owen!

In what way? Liverpool fans I know still have plenty of time for Benitez & dont bad mouth him. And neither has Klopp won more trophies or bigger ones. Methinks more to do with Rafa managing Newcastle being the basis of your comparison.

Yeah, but it had all gone south by the end. He put himself ahead of the club so he could indulge in power politics with the owners, and the style of play was always negative. He is a defensive coach, and always has been a defensive coach.

As I said Liverpool fans have no problem appreciating his achievements. You are positing a view of a Sunderland fan not a Liverpool fan.

Anyone getting paid £300,000 per year won’t be short of a few bob.

Anyone owning a house outright in a decent part of London will be a millionaire.

That's because he actually achieved something. What did he achieve with you? Promotion after a totally avoidable relegation.

We are having a discussion at cross purposes here. That of Klopp & Benitez at Liverpool. But typically on here you have reduced it to Benitez at Newcastle. Over 240 pages long & as soon it takes a diversion away from Newcastle you try to drag it back.

Sucking up to Liverpool fans ?

Thought you all hated em after they took the piss invading your home ends and singing in your hospitality suite when they beat you at Sid James last season?

Funny that Benfica, Liverpool fans I know we’re very critical of him when he was there. Swings and roundabouts old bean.

Have you ever heard a man united fan, or arsenal, man city or liverpool or spurs fan bleat on even slightly about attendances ? West ham average more than them but I cant recall '56k screaming cockneys' being thrown about like it actually means anything. And west ham fans are a complete set of wankers. Just not on Newcastles level. As we know more than any other club, attendances mean Fuck All

Plans for screens in Town Moor/Leazes Park are being considered. Over the next week we will be working with the council to see the logistics and whether this could be done. Would you be interested?

Plot the lost totally stained wankers gravy.

Rearrange.

Just cancelled my subscription in protest of Mike Ashley refusing to accommodate Rafa and not spending any of the club's money on football related deals or infrastructure at the club. I urge all fans to do the same.

Just cancelled my gas and electric in protest at Mike Ashley. I'd rather freeze to death in the winter than have a chairman that saved my club from bankruptcy
