I see Mourinho is favourite with the bookies.

It’s unlikely but should that happen, will the mags be unhappy he’s the manager and not Benítez? Despite the fact Mourinho is more successful?

Pardew did a lot better than Rafa did.

I suppose Pardew is too slim for them though...
Just looked at odds checker and Moyes and Arteta are joint faves
Followed by Jose Avram grant and dyche

Pardew gets 5th Place = manager hated

Rafa gets mid table = manager idolised

I’m looking at Sky Bet, probs different for each bookie.

Avram is at 10/1 with SkyBet, might be worth a bet as he was being considered earlier.

Of course they wont, but their first choice players are a league above ours, and their second choice players are still a league above.. and so on and so on.
It's all relative, the further down the shit table of players you have to pool from the more chance you have shit.

You could argue, and a better argument would be, there was no need to spend the Joselu money, because we already had a player of his quality anyway in Mitrovic.
Well blame your messiah for Joselu not your owner.

This week has been great news for Stew, Chas and Jacky. The mackem smugness factor is almost at levels where you won the Checkatrade, won the play off and were spending a fortune strengthening the side for a successful Championship campaign.
And they wonder why we find it so funny  typing through tears poor lamb

I blame both, If I give you £10 to get me some Caviar and you bring back fish fingers, I would think you are a daft sod, but at the same time, how could I expect you to get Caviar?

my quid would go on Timmy Sherwood. Experienced in Prem, cheap and is a cockney.
That would be a laugh, the most ‘exciting’ name on the list is Mikel Arteta other than the outrageous Mourinho suggestion, but an appointment like that is also the most likely to get them relegated as he would overhaul or attempt to overhaul playing style and they would ship in goals. Although there’s a chance he could do well. Pulis will mean 14th - 17th and cups getting chucked down the pan, Sherwood would be a disaster, they’d do well to stay up.

Everything going to plan. Take over imminent & Ashley has agreed to take one for club so that new owners dont have to. Mourinho installed seamlessly & starts spending. Even better in the meantime this board has been encouraged to troll about the likes of Moyes. Over 190 obsessed pages.

Pulis
Sherwood
Moyes

Three potential inheritors of Rafa's throne.

Knowing Big Mike, wouldn't put it past him to appoint a Kinnear / Carver dream team.

Why did Ashley spend that money buying Debenhams when he could have let Rafa use it? Senseless 400 jobs against 5200000 happy gravy slurpers.
