F1 2019

Boring as hell this.

Mind, Bottas' front right looks a total mess, and his rear right doesn't look good either. Hard tyres not coping with the temps perhaps?

I wonder if Bottas will continue to trot out the line that he's still in the Championship fight after yet another convincing win from his team mate who is yet to finish outside the top 2 this season.

What a bore fest this race has been. It’s like a procession.

Last 2-3 minutes have been the most exciting of the weekend.

Absolutely gutted for Norris.

The McLaren was a surprise package though.

Also we were forced to look at Bottas and Leclerc when this battle with Norris was far more interesting.

He’s just not a top driver, simple as that. He’s capable of performing to a high standard but that’s the exception rather than the norm, with Bottas you’ll have 5-6 races a season where he’s a long way off, far too many to ever contend for a world title. Add to that Lewis is driving the best of his career the last 18 months and the lad just doesn’t have a chance.

Lewis cementing his place as the greatest driver in history the last few years

Problem is that the other teams are really not able to compete with Mercedes to make a race out of anything. Lewis finishing just 2 hundredths behind Vettels fastest lap attempt despite 2 grades harder tyre and 30+ laps more wear shows this. Mercedes has so much in hand on race day that Ferrari cannot touch them.

He’s also a racer (vintage I think) so he commits a lot of time to that now.

He’s doing the red bull boat race designs. Only does red bull f1 on an irregular consultancy basis so not sure how much input he has into the team anymore. Red Bulls problems go deeper than blaming the engine, the Honda isn’t far off the Ferrari and Mercedes, fact is they now only have the third best chassis on the grid also

That's been the case for a while, but there was nowt interesting going on through the entire field today. Until Dorris' car went all shite, which ended up being the most interesting part of the whole race.

Has to be at least 1 x 5s pen for Danny Ric there. Passed off the track twice in 3 corners
Called it!

French GP: Daniel Ricciardo given two time penalties and loses points

One 5s pen for each of them. Quite right too.

Danny Ric isn't happy mind
Daniel Ricciardo on Twitter

Loads of people complaining about it. But he went miles off the track and overtook people. Twice.
And fucked Norris over too.

Am I the only one who agrees with the rules of F1? Does everyone else just want a mad max, no rules, demolition derby?
