Hopefully we pull it around. Not convinced about the depth in the squad like I say. Also, not convinced they can handle a bit of pressure. It's a battle to make the semis now.

Surely Moeen’s defenders must admit that it’s beyond a joke to call him an allrounder now, what with his unreliable batting. Whacking sixes with a 300 total behind you is the only skill he has. That’s not enough to call himself an allrounder.

If you are a gamble the best is to go big on that, then lay when we get to semis and take the profit.

I think the battle is being slightly overplayed, as it relies on other teams winning all theirs.

Totally was brainless like at times.

The thing is, when you get to semis, all this is totally irrelevant, as it would have been if we'd won every game

Also as I say thats the first time we have batted poorly in the whole tournament, shouldn't be forgotten

In the Pakistan game we batted well, was fielding that cost us

Lose next game and I think it'll maybe look that way. Let's hope that doesn't happen. I'm just not convinced how this team handles pressure. There will be pressure in our next game though so may get an answer then.

Buttler eats pressure for breakfast:D and Stokes certainly didn't look like pressure was getting to him in this game.

Must admit would have felt happier with Roy and Hales in the side
 
I'd prefer if they opened with Ali instead of Vince. They could then add another all-rounder.

Although we didn't play well today we can still easily make the semis then anything can happen in knock-out games.

I'd agree with all of that. Dropping Hafeez on 14 and sloppy run costing fielding made the difference against Pakistan. Today, we bowled well. Aside from Root going for 6.5 an over in his 2 overs, only Archer went for over 5 an over and he got 3 wickets. Batting (Stokes and Root apart) was very poor. Also, some credit has to go to Sri Lanka's attack here. I underestimated them and a lot of pundits did too.

Going forward, we need to win at least one, and maybe two, of the last three. As you say, other teams need to win all of their matches and a few of them are against the others in the top 4 currently.

Without waffling on, not to say you don'y have a point about pressure, but most of our top order got like standard dismissals, wouldn't say it was pressure, Bairstow a very harsh LBW 1st ball, Root nicked off leg side, Morgan out to a freak catch, Buttler yorker, Stokes stayed in

It was our tail that completed flopped, they should have been able to get 60 between theM


So I wouldn't say out star batsman felt the pressure, but the tail did, which was started by Ali

Think that gets lost when people look at it
