Non League Football

No - but both have huge potential at a higher level. Next season is a one-off chance. I'm just hoping they will take it.

Whitley Bay have signed a couple of players and speaking to a few of their fans last night they are optimistic about next season after last year's disaster.

A number of teams will be up there, off the top of my head, Shildon, bishops, west, hebburn ,consett, benfield, stockton,Rca,seaham

Shields and Whitley ? They will both have to improve a lot to trouble the teams going for promotion

Took my 2 little ones along to shields on Saturday and they lived the kick about, I then took them along last night as the website said age 4-12 but it was year 4, my 6 year old and 4 year old wanted to play, and the coaches could of said no there to small as they were tiny compared to the 9-11 year olds it seemed that we’re there, but I have to hand it to the 2 coaches, they took the time to invite my 2 lads in and accommodate them the best they could, lads had a great time and we also found out the right time to take them, massive thumbs up to the generator fiddlers and my kids are looking forward to returning

Mate it was really nice of the 2 coaches and my boys were made up, sorry about the generator but I just like to keep in the spirit of a little dig at the club(have nothing but praise for them in reality)
The amount of kids down there on the 4g pitch was great to see, my 6 year old still told me he only likes Barca but shields is not bad anymore for him

Course mate don't worry, I hear it all of the time it's friendly banter (particularly from the Morpeth lot)! It is a fantastic set-up and great for youth development  That's brilliant, hopefully one day we will be playing them!

Unfortunately don't think so.

Lost a lot of good players at this level and at the minute replaced by not very much, could be blowing a great chance given the promotion re-shape this year
