Dyche is a very good manager, but he’d be a fool to go to the Mags. If he wants to move on, he needs to look elsewhere.

I think in their little world it works different though. Whoever eventually replaces Benitez won't be good enough in their eyes. Exactly the same happened when Alardyce got the job

I’m honestly not sure but I was told at the time by somebody I trust that he was shown round the academy before Dick changed his mind. One of our near-miss rumours that I hope was just a rumour.

Not that I believe this for one second but this would be a good move for both Newcastle and Dyche. Newcastle would be getting a decent manager and Dyche would be getting an opportunity at decent sized club. I reckon the Mag fans would be fuming though as their delusions would not allow them to believe Dyche is a big enough name.
