Latest boxing crack

Rumours that Kell Brook is going to announce his retirement. Probably for the best if it's true but he's had such a frustrating career relative to his talent

He wasn’t number 2 a few months ago.

The fight was made, he got bumped up their ranking list.

On boxrec, which has flaws but still, he’s number 7. In Germany. Not the world. Germany

Whatever he was Fury was impressive the way he completely destroyed him.

Heard on a podcast the other night they are trying to get the Fury-Wilder rematch to be bigger numbers than Mayweather-Pacquiao, the yank promoter seemed serious. So this is all part of showbusiness now until we get that fight back on.

It's Artem V Malignaggi in bare knuckle boxing on Saturday, I find that sport difficult to watch TBH. Are there any (non-gloveless) rule differences which would weigh the contest towards Artem?

Will anybody be following how it goes down?

There'll have been a few backhanders from Arum to the WBO to elevate Schwarz's ranking like. As ridiculous as Haye's first comeback opponent being rated in the WBA top 15

He was German heavyweight champion and more than half of those above him in the top 7 'Germans' are Eastern European's who are now based in Germany.

He had a half decent record but he is about on Dave Allen's level which is nowhere near Fury to be fair. Allen is supposedly 20 in the world which is too high IMO.

I don't blame Fury for taking an easy fight. He earned the right after taking on Wilder when he was under cooked at that level after 3 years out.

I’m not sure why their origin matters to be honest

He’s currently number 56 on boxrec globally.

I’m not blaming Fury, albeit his hypocrisy is funny, just agreeing that it was a nothing fight

Yeah but its still a fair enough fight

not sure why some so desperate to put it down

Fury is the boy

Fury > Joshua

Think the issue is that Schwarz was little better than the 2 initial comeback opponents Fury fought last year plus the fact that he's slated Joshua and Wilder for fighting far more credible opponents.

Hopefully his opponent in September is a massive improvement on Schwarz

I will be although Paulie has been making some disturbing comments

It's not just origin. They didn't move to Germany until they were already adult boxers so pushing him down to number 7 in Germany is a little false.

Maybe 56 in the world was a little low, 20 probably a little high for Allen. They are both also rans who are nowhere near top level. They've actually fought some of the same journey men.

On the radio today they were talking about Jarrell Miller as a possible opponent. Fury will box the big pudding's head off if the fight is made but I can't imagine he'll escape a ban.

And does anyone believe breazale would not be utterly humiliated versus fury and fury is about as wrong as you can get for Ruiz, range and footwork would be a long drawn out painful beating....career damaging for Ruiz.

Let’s not forget the purpose. A showcase fight , I don’t believe anyone has claimed this to be anything other .
