Latest boxing crack

Whyte's balance is shit, often looks ponderous and isn't too fast. He is however tough as fuck, extremely strong and is surprisingly smart a boxer. The contrasts make him entertaining for me.

Correct on the last point. He's also very explosive.

Yes. Have to give Whyte credit for his toughness, decent chin and determination.

That’s fair enough !

I wouldn’t see him as too unpredictable, he’ll try n get through with his jab if that don’t work he’ll try n get through with power he’s not like Fury with switch hitting, changing stance, unpredictable combinations, different angles and heights, clever movement etc Wilder has none of that because he think he doesn’t need to cause he’s fought mainly nothing fights !

Wilder had to think more than ever in the Fury fight and I wouldn’t say he did anything that unpredictable in that fight really

He's very limited, but it's not like his power is his only attribute. Good hand speed, good foot speed and he has a decent level of technical boxing ability (just not on AJ or Fury's levels respectively). He's unpredictable in the sense that you can't figure out where or what he will try to hit you with, partly because he doesn't even know himself.

Spot on. He's throws a lot of punches which Wilder wouldn't like and Wilder's one big right he always throws may not be as effective against someone as tough as Whyte.

It's been a fair while since heavyweight boxing was so open. I think Tyson Fury has surprised even himself with his achievements so far. His footwork is exceptional. Muhammadi Ali and Sugar Ray Leonard would be proud of that moment last night where Fury swung on the ropes, swivelled on a sixpence, then cracked Tony Schwartz with a decent left. Superb to watch.

It's so rare for any champion to be unbeaten throughout their career, and it's possible that people are dismissing Anthony Joshua far too early on the basis of one bad night. How he responds to a shock defeat will define his legacy. It was good to see Ruiz get the credit he deserved for an outstanding performance too.

I believe that some people may also be taken in a little bit by the "Wilder has only knocked out nobodies" line. He clearly has a devastating punch against opponents at any level and his durability has perhaps been underrated.

You throw in Ruiz, and the dangerous Whyte, and you have a really healthy heavyweight scene with one or two classic fights having already happened. The next couple of years are going to be superb.

It's not. That's opponent is pure trash. The fight literally showed this in real terms too. They will even get another fight in before the wilder rematch with wilder. Boxing politics. Killing the sport

What will the excuses be when he doesnt even fight wilder next ?

You think hes scared to fight Wilder?

Can't believe anybody is actually defending or justifying it. Joshua or Wilder would have been completely ridiculed if they had fought Schwarz and deservedly so
There is a boxing page I follow on Facebook and when I suggested on thrre this morning that Schwartz was not much of an opponent I was immediately smashed out of the park and told in no uncertain terms that I am a dosser and he would knack me.

I wouldnt write off Ortiz yet either, he gave Wilder a torrid time last time and had him out on his feet at one point with Wilder being saved by the bell in the 7th ......That fight is not a forgone conclusion. Interestingly if he struggles with Ortiz then Whyte is his worst nightmare...

Well he wad :) so seems fair a comment.

Dosser maybe harsh...

The constant spoiling was pissing me off but at the same time it nullified so many of Warringtons strengths. Glad Warrington didnt lose his title to those kind of tactics although he needs to be able to work these kind of fighters out.
Alright hoy some combinations then hold and tie up not single shots

Well aye, but he is far bigger than me. I doubt I could beat Colin Montgomery at golf, and I am reasonably sure that Sebastian Vettel is a better driver than me. I don't see that my comment was in any way suggesting that I personally would do a better job.

Cant see how anyone thought galahad won that he was holding on for his life from the 6th round ya nick belts like that man... embarrassing

It was a really poor fight mind. I think Warrington spoilt us with his performances against Selby and Frampton and I was expecting too much.

I'm a member of a few boxing pages. You can't criticise a boxer unless you have boxed yourself without getting called a keyboard warrior or a casual on some of them.
