No its not

Whose suggesting dropping anyone

Nah no chance, Rashid has to play, you need a spinner who can turn it both ways

4 years of planning then drop your leg spinner!

Aye, for me I want four seamers, two frontline spinners. If Woakes were consistent I'd be dropping Plunkett, but he's not and a very tough call but would probably drop him.

But Rashid, for me, does not look fit.

If Wood and Archer were both 100% fit, would you drop Broad in the Ashes

I honestly can't decide

Don't know how he's bowling but no, definitely not (though probably would if it were an away series).

I'd "drop" Wood. But I think you'd probably end up rotating the three of them, because I don't think Wood and Broad can do five tests a series and Archer is still a young'un.

But in answer to your question about "who is talking of dropping anyone".... I knew you'd be on the Wood v Archer angle eventually. Could see it like an oil tanker on the horizon.

Yeah fair enough

I am not really meaning wood v archer at all

On about Broad, huge fan as you know, just asking the question if he is still undroppable in england

No complaints of who plays out of Wood or Archer like, 50/50 call

Its whether we need 2 English seamers in Englosh conditions, I think we do against the Aussies

Why is Woakes batting at 3, I know Morgan and Roy are injured

Just safety so we still have batsman down the order if there was a collapse

Could watch Root bat all day, nearest to Bell in style we have had

@Voice of fair play Root opening and Woakes at 3??

You'll be loving this

I think Archer has the edge with the white ball - his angle of delivery is just so dangerous. I know the speed gun says they are similar, but whether it's the angle or the run-up I don't know, but Archer seems to surprise top players with his bouncers, even on slow pitches, which Wood doesn't do as consistently. Better death bowler I think too.

On red ball, I'd probably edge Wood for the moment, because of his experience. Archer could be better and his county average is around 23 iirc. But he hasn't played much and most of it is division two, so it'd be a faith-based selection.

Broad plays first test, no question for me. Unless he's bowling poor - but I doubt he is, him and Anderson will be raring to go watching this.

Yeah hard to disagree with any of that

I am really excited for the Ashes, think Archer will be a great addition to it, can bat too

No mention of Woakes n Curran too, Curran when fit, ask to bat 3 for Surrey!

Yeah - a little irritation is how England are often listing him below Rashid and Plunkett in the order. Tbf to Plunkett, he can come in and heave it a bit, but it's almost like we don't know the lad can bat. But he definitely can.

Banana skin avoided thankfully, should do a professional job on Monday and then enjoy the test of playing the big 3 sides.

Got Sri Lanka too first. A poor side tbh, should definitely ease to a 5-1 record, which I would definitely have taken. 6-3 probably enough with our net run rate, but I don't think the Aussies are up to much and New Zealand haven't been tested much.

India are the only team than can live with us if we play to the best of our ability imo. Hopefully no Pakistan in the semis, nightmare team.
