Spends his days watching BBC Alba trying to fathom out the conundrum of the constant Scottish fitba (ffs)
I think football in Scotland is a good idea. ;)
I think you just answered your own question. You ask if it only happens in Durham, as you've seen it. Although you have witnessed it happening in Sunderland, and have heard of goings on at the one in Consett. Now you decide if it only happens in Durham, cos most of us aren't at your communication level. Although I might be at the weekend, when I'm in the one at Durham.I'm 68 and me liver's tested fine btw
I wasn't clear. I've seen it on a bigger scale at Durham whereas other places have been odd instances.

My thought process was Durham Waterhouse had a much bigger problem with drunks than the others.

Also a bit of a knacker being banned from Waterhpuse for buying/nicking drink from Tesco's how the fuck does that work?
I'm actually typing Waterhouse and my autocorrect is changing it to Waterhpuse???

The drunks are being banned from Tesco Express, not Waterhouse.

That said, the Waterhouse bouncers are not letting the really bad drunks back in.

Waterhpuse

See above. :)

£8 for a pint of San Miguel and a fresh stonebaked pizza nicer than you’d get in just about any takeaway or 60% of Italians.

Superb. Barely ever had a shit pint in a spoons too. One issue was how long it can take to be served but the app solves that (mind you I bet theres a hellish amount ordered to wrong tables/pubs when it gets late and the cheap booze is flowing )

It varies from Wetherspoons to Wetherspoons.

In Durham, Waterhouse does seem to serve a consistent pint. The Bishops Mill can vary though again not too many complaints. The same applies to the Company Row in Consett though not everyone whose made comment agrees.

Newcastle is a mixed bag. The Swan and Five Signets up the Haymarket has improved. The Lloyds Bar I can't remember the name of on the Quayside has served me some pretty rank beer in the past and the Mile Castle is so so. The Lloyds Bar in the Gate seems okay.

The Wetherspoons in Gosforth, Hexham and Whitley Bay have not been too bad either.

Note I did not visit all these places in one day. :)

Update from Jameson's before 7pm scratter curfew, all quiet on the scratter front, they seem to have relocated to Yates, just been watching 2 scratters hand bagging it outside, went for a straightener round the park & came back hugging each other, back into Yates, will report back later. ;)

The Yates' of their day.

Allows the rest of us to have a proper drink while the police know where the riff-raff are.

There's even one in Billericay FFS. Used to be a Sainsburys until the Waitrose opened further down the street.

Should only be allowed to open where the Brexit party won an EU seat.

I forgot about Yates as a Scratter location. The former Yates in Durham is doing okay, that I saw tonight.
