You are 100% correct in that, I can't argue. I would say however if a club spent 100mil because they earn 100mil the previous season by being more marketable then they are still living within their means and have achieved a higher revenue on merit (in theory). That's fine with me, cream tends to rise to the top eventually.

Yeah as you say, the real issue is what happens after these rich people decide they don't want their play things.. I guess they either cut their losses and sell to someone who wants it for cheap (short) or they sell it for as much as they can get (Ashley). One of them decides "fuck it, i will spend nowt, I dont give a shit we went down I am selling anyway, I just want shot of it" and the other spends as minimum as possible to keep the club in the nice warm pool for potential buyers.

Either one of them owners is shit for the fans, you either get a Donald who is either a shrewd business man with not allot of money to push your club forward or you get a Quinn who has the clubs best interest at heart.

It's all just the merry go round..

I am a little older now and have stopped giving as much of a fuck as I used to lol. Been there done that.

Fair enough.

I don't mind Ashley at all, so personally I am not fussed if it happens or not. My life will never be changed by football club ownership. I don't see how it could.
