General Sale

Did they try and update the site last night and something has gone wrong. It looks a bit different than it has previously. Bit of a strange time to do it mind if so.

They will have to change the purchase at some point as it will be too late to post tickets out. The timetable has been such a screw up and with 4500 tickets left the club need to look at how they have handled this

there was last night OVER 4800 tickets still available through ticketmaster, that's not including the 5500 still available through Wembley corporate

Why did every man and his dog want to go to the checkatrade and not this one ,
why ? cos we are sick of getting kicked in the nuts at Wembley mine are still black and blue

Why? They are constantly selling millions of tickets mate, there’s never a good time for them to make changes.

Ah didn't realise it was a Ticketmaster wide issue.

Is the 5500 just our section of the corporate or is it neutral and that's the total amount left? Record attendance at a league one play off is 76k.

I suspect, in the summer, you will see the club introduce a new policy for future Wembley games. Going forward, I can only see SC and members being able to get tickets

How can they not know a season ticket holder or someone with a purchase history?
I’m an ex st holder at sol and have bought at least three home tkts per season mainly on sat morns for every season since giving up st. I’ve no purchase history as defined by safc and ticketmaster.
A lot of my purchases haven’t been logged at point of sale although my address changes in that period have. I believe that’s why as the employee altering address changes means they’ve forgotten to log my tkt purchases. I can’t prove it but I’ll bet the software used allows this to happen.
Doesn’t matter now as I’ve been helped out by a smbr with a spare......I’ll quit safc somehow someday.

Pointless if they don’t log every purchase.

Because that one was guaranteed at the time - this one wasn't

Also the 'reward' from that game was an actual trophy (albeit a very minor one) The 'reward' from this game is playing all of next season in a higher division, which everyone will enjoy and benefit from - whether they go to Wembley or not?

Now we are using ticketmaster, I can see the membership cards working in the same way as SC. You will log onto your account, purchase a ticket and then use the card to gain entry to the SOL. Your purchase history will then be recorded

Undoubtedly the long standing rule has been that season ticket holders get a ticket for finals etc and this should and will continue.
If you go regularly it’s usually with other season ticket holders so no problems on only getting one. I think we all agree that’s correct.
Corporates may get more than one, it’s the way of the world .
It’s the next phase of sales that is difficult, and I don’t think 6 per season ticket holder was right .
Yes you might want to take your wife or children or parents.
Yes you might be an exile and not get to many games .
However, there is a second tier of supporters who should get a chance on a ticket after the season ticket holders .
We have the technology now to record every attendance, so the next wave should be those attending the most games imo.
We know you have to be registered and ensure your purchases are recorded.
The club should be able to see how many tickets are left and how many supporters we have that would qualify if the bar was set at a certain number of attendances.
Life is not fair , we can’t always get what we want , and we will never go back to queues.
Set the rule , don’t just make it at the time like we’ve done again .
It’s also an incentive to actually go to games !

Hope so. Not so much for my sake but there’s been plenty of others in a similar boat.

I'm not convinced. My thoughts were that next season might not actually be that enjoyable - we might find it tough - so I should enjoy the good moments when they come. And they simply don't get any better than going up via the playoffs (I suspect having never done it). I can't stand the thought of missing it. Yes, we might lose and that will suck, but you can't dwell on that.

Well said. Summit like over ten homes one day, over five the next, one and over the next, general the next.
But I think the Rich Kids have decided to exploit the fans with the membership thing and thats staying. It’d work in my favour as an exile to become a member but seeing as it’s just exploiting an untapped revenue source I’ll pass for now.
The software should be altered so that the next over the counter sale can’t be made unless the previous one is logged against an account.
