Uganda for a week alone

Just about to put that. iirc he wasn't paticularly enamoured with Kampala either.

I'm sure his Dad would pay for the once in a lifetime opportunity.

In fact do it, and I'm sure his uncle will go halfies with you
No his Grandad always taught him to realise the value of money. He can go back when he’s earned enough himself to pay for it

Unless his Uncle has more money than sense and pays for it as his last 24 Christmas presents he’s forgot about....

Got luck with that.

Anything to get away from the wife though anyway.
Him and the girlfriend have just been to Kenya the last couple of weeks, she has to get back for work but he’s skived another week off so headed over to see Uganda, land of expensive Gorillas

It's brilliant, but the permit alone costs $600. Transport and accommodation on top.

Right, the Lads in Uganda for a week on his own, starting in Kampala but I think he’s seen enough of there already. Any suggestions where or what he can do?

Gan to Nile River Explorers just outside Jinja. Lots to do there. Nile River Explorers - White Water Rafting in Jinja Uganda

Give me Amin and I'll get back to you.

I know of someone who planned Uganda to go Gorilla watching. The main highlights are the Gorillas (obviously) down south near the Congo and Rwanda borders (Virunga Mountians, Bwindi, etc.), a chimpanzee reserve I understand to be on the shores of Lake Victoria, Queen Elizabeth National Park for more general wildlife viewing and Murchinson Falls on the Nile further north (there might be white water rafting possibilities too).

Kampala is a transit point, nothing more. Use it to organise travel and noting more. Anymore than a day to orient is apparently enough to drive you mad.

It might be worth crossing into Rwanda for the Gorillas as access may be better from there.

Uganda, it's nee Benidorm like!

Well apart from every second person being a mugger, the unsafe travelling after dark and the abject misery like.
But hey it's cheaper to see gorillas like
