Game of Thrones season 8

Didn’t think Dany had it in her to murder loads of innocents just to get at Cersei mind.

Then there’s Greyworm killing soldiers who surrendered.
Didn’t care who killed her but I wanted a satisfying, gruesome painful death for her like Joffrey, walder frey or Ramsay

Certainly not dying off screen as the vulnerable mother in the arms of her lover while romantic, sad music plays.

Qyburns death was class
Qybern’s came right out of the blue mind, just a smashed head against the wall and thrown like a rag doll down the stairs.

Gruesome.

Looking back I appreciate Danys cold side in the previous series. She has the mad gene she lost it and her fathers legacy came flooding out in the fire and death.
Either that or she's got PTSD.

Still. She did the job and followed her advisors last piece of advice...

Love how now everyone has become a writer of a massive TV show overnight.
Here's my attempt.
The last episode can't be that long,
Jon "Piss of Dany you nutter"
Dany "Dragon, burn Jon, he's a twat and a wooden actor"
Jon doesn't burn as he's part Targarean.
Arya comes in stading on top of Tyrions shoulders wearing a big coat pretending to be the Hound and lobs Dany's head off whilst pretending to swat a mosquito off her neck saying "Don't move I'll get the bastard"
Jon cries and says "I don't want to be king"
Arya saya "I'm not going to let you anyway, I'm sitting on the Throne" She takes her position wearing her new Sansa Skinned Sandles
The End

Better than some of the pap I have read on here and Twitter, you are hired!

When he protected his boss at Castle Black very early on he was burnt by the lantern.

See I've seen through your plot holes

When you build things up for years theres generally meant to be a pay off. There hasn't really been any, which has been surprising. Teased Jon and the night king for years and never really faced off properly, umpteen people after Cersei and nobody gets the kill/reward. Just seemed a bit lazy and avoided making any big moments imo...

Couldn't disagree more mate. We've had payoffs throughout (little finger, Ramsey Bolton, Joffrey etc) but one of the strengths of the show is that it isn't always predictable or formulaic. The show has become so big now that its impossible to please everyone. I've really enjoyed this season, partly because it hasn't followed the typical wash, rinse, repeat formula that you see in lots of other shows. Putting the dragons & tits to one side, the thing that makes the show so great is the strength of the characters, dialogue and story arcs. The standout character is Tyrion, another great scene with him & Jamie in the last episode.

I thought it was really good what happened with Daenerys - she went into it with the best intentions, but like so many once she got a taste of power she didn't want to let go of it and when she sensed that she was going to lose it she thought the only way to keep hold of it was to rule by absolute fear. That, along with the trauma of losing those close to her and no longer feeling she could trust her remaining advisors her mad gene was triggered. Its all about power, paranoia & corruption.

This. Excellent post.

Absolutely lived this series so far. No one was going to be happy and at the end of the day the dragon was a super weapon that was finally unleashed.

Still lots of talk about who will win the iron throne. Need to remind people that the iron throne is slag under hundreds if tons of rubble.

Nice description of Cersei

She didn't kill "Innocents" in her head... she saw the citizens in Kings Landing as complicit in Cersei's reign as they didn't rebel like the slaves of Meereen

She also killed 163 of the nobleman of meereen despite some being innocent of the crime they were sentenced. this was pointed out to the viewers.

She killed another one later for intimidation purposes too (after the death of Barristan Selmy)

it's not a massive shift of character for Dany especially with some of the quotes she has said in the past.

100%, don't understand anyone who claims it's out of character for Dany.

The complaints for Jaime I get, not for Dany.

They teased the Night King v Jon for years.... You can still have that payoff without the predictable hero ending of Jon killing him
You still got a pay off with the night king, albeit not with the predictable Night king v Jon. All that training Arya went through in the house of black and white (temple in Braavos) was a bit of a slow burner at the time but it ultimately proved decisive. There was certainly a payoff for me but with a bit of mis-direction, which I don't mind.

The keyword.

I thought Bron turned into a ****, he was a good friend of both Jamie and Tyrion. Money grabbing Barsteward.
