Best TV Show ever

On C5? My Mrs loved it. It was worse than Hollyoaks.
Aye that's the one, it was class David Easter was class and so was that guy called trevor who was a wife beater, proper edge of your seat stuff. It not like to me like a shit show like that mind but it drew me in and I ended up liking it better than home and away.

Star Trek has to be one of them. Ground breaking, spawned all
Sorts of Spin off series and ended up influencing nasa and space missions.

An immense legacy

Watch game of thrones for about 5 episodes way back when and ditched it.

Moonlighting.
Coupling.
David Attenborough programmes.
Blue Peter.
Dallas.
Helen, a woman of today.
The Newcomers.

All remembered fondly.
Line of Duty a more recent like, but haven't got back into it this season.

Moonlighting was absolutely class. The al jarreau signature tune was superb

Of course it's Game of Thrones.

It's amazing,no other work of fiction can kill off almost the entire set of main characters, have three plots for the majority of the story that each are equally important and have every (seemingly) background character have an actual story and possible major implications.

It's beyond anything else as far as I am concerned.

ff to 02:40 to see unknown actor David Easter.

Cant find Trevor but he was the best character and probably the reason the show got pulled.

the end or is it...

Chevron is good like.

The other unique thing about Game of Thrones was it never defined what was possible.

It's easy to be all snearing about dragons and shit, but until there were dragons it wasn't stated that they were possible in that world. Or any of the things that happened.

That's also very rare for fiction.

Ultimately, like anything,it's a show about people and how they react to the situations they find themselves in.

As for Martin modeling his characters on "Rome", that came out in 2007 and the first GoT book came out in like 1991.

Game of Thrones being the best ever must be a great example of recency bias.

I have no idea if its the greatest show ever, but I do know if it was made the 80s and Only Fools and Horses was made today, OFAH would beat it easily in a poll.

GOT seems to be Marmite.

I've never watched so have no opinion other than I have no interest in obtaining it to watch. Not a dragon fan.

Feedback is either best programme ever to it's totally overated rubbish.
