f***ing Fleetwood man for heaven's sake

The disappointment from tonight was we could have confirmed 4th and put ourselves in pole position for 3rd. That said, promotion is still in our hands, but we have four huge games coming up (inc sat to ensure 4th)

The worry is, in the second half we looked down. We desperately need to find confidence from somewhere

The substitions killed us.

Taking Grigg off first when Gooch should have been hooked at half time IMO.

Maguire fair enough he hasn't played a full game for 2 months but Leadbitter sitting on his arse when one corner or pass could have changed the game?

2nd half was awful and the blame lies at Ross's door.

i honestly don’t know what the intention was tonight. Had he already decided not to go for it and to accept the playoffs?

I know it was implausible that we still went up automatically but while it wasn’t impossible we should have been putting ourselves in the strongest position.

Second half we didn’t even attempt to play football. f***ing gutless and f***ing guileless.

Jesus, I got slated last year for daring to pick out Honeyman and Gooch as the weak links in the side and that they’ll get worse as the season goes on, fuck me they've got a lot worse than I ever expected, Nothing whatsoever game after f***ing game , why the persistence with Honeyman especially and captain for Christ’s sake.
They are both woeful

Coming out of the ground this evening, some of us were wondering if Ross is now just preparing for the play offs and wasn’t arsed about Fleetwood. His subs were poor, but he appears to be nursing players ahead of Charlton.

Would love (hate) to see the stats of our passing accuracy. Must have been 50% of our passes that went either straight out of play, or straight to the opposition, or at best practically impossible for the recipient to get. The CBs just lumping, not only blindly , but actually just kicking it straight out of play when under no pressure. Then all the little attempts at flicks and through balls that go absolutely no where near where they were intended. Crosses that just float into the keepers arms practically every time. Its incredibly difficult to watch. And then other times when they do play it into feet its either slightly behind or to the side of the recipient, or blasted at them 100 mph. Or played in at chest height instead of on the deck. Not sure how the coaches can stop this. I'd start fining players if they hit it long aimlessly when they have a simple option available

As I’ve just posted mate, it appears he is nursing players ahead of Charlton. It’s risky, because he is now under huge pressure

Honking. Another game that follows the similar pattern we've had most of the season. I've no idea why we sit back we can't defend a lead, we make a habit of missing some class chances as well. Tbh we aren't good enough to go up its as simple as that.
There's our problem, sitting back trying to defend a lead

Just having a big lump, or an awkward player like Kimpioka, alongside Sterling would have been ten times better. Even when there were second balls to win, there was no one near.

Remember where we were blah de blah

12 months ago blah de blah

This is embarrassing and failure, no matter how hard the happyclappers and "some sopping minges on here" brigade try to tart it up.

Let me guess "we can still win the playoffs" fuck off man.
I still have optimism(Not loads), but I don't blame you one bit for feeling this way mate.

If he is he is a f***ing goon. We did have a slim chance of automatic promotion as the Pompey result proved.

We also had a good chance of 3rd and an easier game on paper against Doncaster or Peterborough.

Looks like we'll have to try to do it the hard way now.

It was a massive task anyway. We must learn from this game, big style, then move on and prepare.
When you say we must learn, you really mean Ross must learn, but he's learned nothing from one game to the next. Bringing on Sterling as a lone striker, give me a break, then as we're being overrun in midfield bringing on Honeyman, what a bloody joke. His first and biggest mistake was making that waste of space his captain, forced himself to have to select him for 90% of the games, played most of last season as well, no wonder we are shite. FTM
