What a great read this is from the supposedly best supporters in the country

That was dreadful mate. We needed to win by at least 2 goals and there was no impetus from the players or the management 2nd half. Grant Leadbitter is sat on his arse for 90 minutes despite having a bit quality watching Gooch have an absolute stinker and play the whole 90 minutes.

Will Grigg taken off for a kid who didn't touch the ball in 20 minutes.

Then we concede 2 awful goals.

It was f***ing dire tonight.

Might well be in the minority here but Mclaughlin needs to stop his pretending to quickly get the ball to start a counter attack and actually fuckin start a counter attack, fancy hoofing the ball up to a 5ft8 lad upfront, he's nowhere near enough commanding enough in my eyes. And like Gooch he breaks down a lot of attacks instead of ball out to full back and getting on with it.
Same goes for the centre backs tbh.

The amount of times when in midfield areas under the slightest bit of closing down we go backwards even when there's space, seemingly frightened to make a pass and then move forwards, then the ball gets lumped forward to midgets anyway absolutely defies belief.

When we actually play football at time few at this level can cope with it. yet when pressurised we gave in and lose composure so easily that you have to question the confidence and belief they have in what they're doing and given the lack of height and physique in many of them and the fact many are decent technical players for me that's a crime at this level.

Don’t want Ross out but he has to take responsibility. Embarrassing. We need stability but...poor tactics and it’s the same things happening.
Why do you want a manager who's team is embarrassing along with poor tactics.
The exact reason's I don't want him here.

Story of the season...

I mentioned earlier that we are stuck between a technical team of the Championship and the raw attributes needed in league one. Except, we have neither area covered. We have no physical presence, no pace, little skill. Ross' system just doesn't work in this league, with the players we have.

I remember Dean Saunders trying something similar at Wrexham. Wanted to play modern football and play it on the deck. Soon realised he didn't have the players to do it and the league just doesn't let you play like that.

When have we this season caught teams on the counter or actually looked like having some ouch of creativity. I think Ross' system would work well if we had the right standard of players. He needs to learn his system just isn't working in this league with the current crop of players. If you look at the teams playing well they have pace and strength and don't try anything fancy. Coventry is a good example of a team using pace and power and simple tactics to turn us over. Tonight even at 1-0 we just pass it around with what looks like no idea what to do with it.

The way I see it, our players seem incapable of a simple pass. It's either over hit the majority or a hospital pass which causes panic when there's an easier option. They are professionals it's a basics in football ffs, then you wonder if that's why they revert to hoofing it!
