Tony Slattery

Greg Proops was the boy on WLIIA, sad news about Tony Slattery mind.
Saw Greg Proops in Watford Comedy Club in about 1993/4/5 ish. He was horrifically unfunny. He was supporting Marc Lamarr, who was not only unfunny, but a massive bellend who offered one of the lads with us outside, once outside he proceeded to ask the bouncers to tw@t him. The soft Swindon $hit!

He was still great in WLIIA, as was Mark Lamarr in Shooting stars and NMTB.

Must admit I could never really get away with WLIIA, but kept watching it, probably so I was seen as 'cool' at the time. John Sessions was probably my favourite on it. Agree about Shooting Stars but not so much about NMTB.
Shame about Slattery mind.

The human mind is such a brilliant, beautiful thing but at the same time so lethally cruel and savage. He seems to have brought a lot of it on himself, as he admits, but it's his mind that's been the catalyst for him being that broken old man in a dingy flat who was always in the telly 25 years ago.

Seeing his days out in poverty and deeply unhappy, even with the love of his life still there supporting him, is no way for anyone to live.
