It’s funny how in the modern era of phones etc , I havnt seen any footage of Pompey fans behaving badly at the Wembley final ( yet I have read hundreds of posts saying how vile we were that day ) . Pompey’s forum has a whole post dedicated to the carnage we apparently create . You should read it to get a good humoured read on how you come across , and how funny we think it is that you think we are the new Millwall lol . Sour grapes I think . I hope for the mackems I met at Wembley they don’t have to sit next to you lot at the SOL .

Pompey fans we met at Wembley were fine
I think the majority of our support recognise that the vast majority of your support are decent however it’s the chav bellend element that have tarnished your club
None of it is made up , believe what you will
Obviously your forums are going to have a different opinion or point of view to ours
Out of curiosity how many threads on your forums are dedicated to SAFC causing trouble ?

Yes, odd that our fans were apparently so bad at Wembley that as far as I'm aware there were zero arrests. Seemed to amount to nothing much more than some of our lot mouthing off a bit. Hardly in the same league as Millwall at their worst.
 
Hopefully one day we are in a position to laud it over Portsmouth. I won’t forget that smoke bomb coming down, was like a scene from the Yugoslav Wars of the 1990’s. Wanker’s.

Good post in the main, that and I agree. I met a good few Pompey lads today and they were all sound as a pound and had come up for a good drink and a good time. I also met plenty on that Sunday and all, bar the odd fuckwit were decent enough.
 
I think their core support are excellent, but when they travel in numbers like today and Wembley, they seem to attract an amount of people looking for trouble.

After the match there was a group of about 40 walked up past the park and ride queue barging into some people and the odd shouting match (and another flare thing set off, so it wasn’t just one that got past the searches, assuming they’d been in to the ground and back out with it). But no actual trouble. One Portsmouth lad covered in blood from his nose so I’m assuming there must’ve been a fight somewhere, but I didn’t see it.

The majority are just normal match going folk, but Portsmouth more than anyone I’ve seen this season appear to attract some that go out of their way to be a bit confrontational.

With both Cov and Pompey, it's like they've been down in the lower leagues for a few seasons, playing at the smaller clubs and grounds... but then this year they've got a big club with a big stadium and sizable support down there with them and now they've developed small-bloke syndrome. All of a sudden Sunderland are the enemy cos we've dared to come and join them in the shit leagues.

All the sad little wankers from the shit estates who only come out for 2 or three games a season have decided to show their muscles this year at the Stadium of Light. It's all a bit weird, I have to say.

i think it’s Sunderland who feel threatened by our existence in league one . Keep ramming it down our throats that you are the bigger club like you have to make sure everyone knows it . We are proud of our club and our support as our community stopped this club from going out of business with just hours to spare . I think the real value of our club is our ability to appreciate that all fans love their clubs , we understand what being the underdog is and supporting an unfashionable club . That makes us humble . Something Sunderland most definately are not .

41,129 v Portsmouth
37 , 770 v Luton
We really don’t need to bang the drum on how big our club is , the rest of the league seem to have a problem with it
