RIP Sammy, loved SAFC and his darts and doms, played against him a few times.

Had a good chat with him last year , he was working on the door at the River Bar at Fatfield.

Even showed me pherties on his phone from back in the day .
Was at unipres last time i seen him

I went to that Bristol Rovers game with the TC. I can't remember much happening TBH. Is this the one where we parked up in the St Pauls area and there were stolen coins found around the coach Or am i dreaming all this :)

There was also the game at Burnley when Bolton and Henderson got sent off. It kicked off that day on the terraces. The next edition of the Mirror called the SAFC fans "animals". It was just a few weeks after Celtic had been IIRC in the Anglo Scottish Cup and they wrecked the place.
There were spaces in the metal railings where the jocks had ripped single ones out and used them as spears.

& another train one ...

Naaarch late on 1976? Got the last train Frida night from Wakey for a 4 hr wait at Peterborough. Load of Leeds on it going to Ipswich.

About 1 or 2 am train came in with Sammy & plenty of others.

Icy couple of hours with polis about then Leeds went about 5

Short while after we got our train to Ely. In the 30 min wait there milk disappeared from doorsteps & a newsagent got a shock ( I couldn’t say cleared out )

Arrived in Naaarch about 7, all jumped off singing our arrival songs ( a la football specials), only for Sammy to run around screaming at everyone to stay quiet cos he ( once again) didn’t have a train ticket & didn’t want to draw attention to himself
I remember waiting for the bus to Southampton outside the Mowbray hotel. big fight with loads of Chinese. We didn't even get to the game, the full bus was locked up for the night in York. CHARLIE
