Sometimes I think it is, others not so much  Whoever it is clearly isn’t a Sunderland supporter mind. He has very little time for club history and a bit of a disregard for other ‘big clubs’ which is a bit in line with a few of Methven’s public comments. He’s always happy to gan along with a bit of criticism of Methven as well.

However, there’s been a bit of criticism of Jack Ross which makes me think it probably isn’t him. Love a bit of pointless SMB mystery

It's MadBob IMO.

Why? Have they really added any value yet?
Surely if they are looking for profit they need to add value by getting the club established as a PL club again or at worst a leading Championship club with the infrastructure to make a PL return.

they have zero connections to the club, they bought the club at a discount. They are businessmen first and foremost.

They're football fans and have been looking at buying a league club for ages. Donald made fuck all out of Eastwood, intact he invested heavily and they were mostly interested in Oxford. he's just got lucky with the timing and got offered an opportunity here which will make them money if they continue to play it right.

Eastleigh* he invested alot to get them into the league and failed.

Eastleigh, wtf did I get Eastwood from. Of course it stacks up well here from a business point of view over two or three years, anymore and unless we fluke the PL and he'll lose heavily. Seems more a bit of an ego/fame thing to me wanting to run a club and be the centre of attention.

I’m a big critic of Murray but I think that’s unfair. He sold on relatively cheaply and to a consortium led by Quinn who clearly had the interests of the club at heart. And I don’t think many were complaining with how we performed after the takeover in the first couple of seasons.
I know we disagree on Murray but fair play to you and spot on. And Im not Bob Murray!!!

He’s been pretty consistent in saying he loves owning us but that if the right person came along with more financial clout, and it was the best thing for the club he’d sell

And millions of other reasons

I think the owners have done a very good job and Id be sorry to see them go...Im hoping they are just speaking to potential investors would make good business sense.

If Mr Short had got these lads in as investors a couple of years back with their nous and his finances we could have ended up in a ver good position.

Jesus, you're hard to please!

From the starting point of being a complete and utter mess, to where we are now in less than a season, is just alright:eek:

Aye, I’m not being controversial

Made a good managerial appointment for sure, short solved it all by paying the debt

Anyone was gonna have a chance after that by just not being short or Bain

Exactly he took a gamble last year.

Id like them to stick around...hopefully they are speaking to investors, these lads are well connected, and this is the smoke from Nixon.

I’d like then to stick around

Not a massive gamble like, the debt getting wiped is the key to all of it, could have made a profit a week after he bought it remember
