Hearing the Neighbours

Previous neighbours used to blast music from 6 in the morning in retaliation if the bairn had been up crying during the night. He had colic at the time so was up quite a lot. Backwards the way some people's minds work.

I grew up in a detached house so had no real experience of hearing my neighbours unless they went in their gardens or had a big party.

Now I live in a block and I sometimes like hearing the music and noise of my neighbours.

I have one neighbour who screams all day though which is annoying, now she is playing Chris de Burgh

Prefer the screaming like.

What can you hear of your neighbours?

Remember my first house the walls were like cardboard.
Next doors kids would wake me up and not good with a hangover.
Now neighbours are horses and foxes that set the dog off barking. Wouldn’t swap it for the World and pull the curtains and just trees and no f***ing people.
Not a look at me just very lucky and appreciate it.

Much prefer older houses for that reason. New builds are paper thin.

My neighbours are Fijian. Bloke's built like a brick shithouse and the wife is a recluse. Doesn't answer the door to anyone when he's not home. I think she lives on Fijian time. They hoover at random hours of the day and night and for forty five minutes at a time. Mrs Exile occasionally hears them singing hymns. Never a dull moment.
