The bairn wants telly in her room to basically watch Cartoon Network. I currently have no ariel, just Sky. She also doesn’t want to mess about with kodi or owt. Am I best off upgrading to sky q multiroom or can you get Cartoon Network on freeview or similar?

You can’t get Cartoon Network on freeview think theres a cartoon channel called tiny pop on freeview.

I’m against having TVs in bedrooms personally.

We’ve got a tv in one of the double rooms upstairs what we call the toy room but wouldn’t want one in our bedroom or let the bairn have one in hers.

Aye, we've one in the living room and a small one in the kitchen but thats it. Don't agree with them in the bedrooms at all

Just get one that has wireless internet, enough shite to watch on YouTube etc

Amazon do aerials aswell, paper thin things that do the job

Tell them Cartoon Network is dead

I'd class a tv in the bedroom as a basic human right tbh. Can't believe there's people depriving their kids of such a standard thing. I'm assuming they cant play with a tablet or anything in their room either then or what's the point? It was a pretty normal thing to have in the 90's. Why not now?
Nowt worse than families all disappearing into their own rooms not to be seen for the rest of the night.

Also the amount of kids I teach who don’t get enough sleep due to gadgets and TVs in the bedrooms is ridiculous tbh

Is it not cheaper to run a Netflix account than multiroom? I'm sure most of the Cartoon Network stuff is on there.

Was just thinking back to when I was a kid mate. I'd be gutted if I had to settle down to watch Coronation street with my mam on an evening. Much rather be playing on my computer up in my room or watching summit more my level or whatever. Don't see the problem if done in moderation. Quite impressive if yous are all gadget free and sitting down watching telly/conversing/playing games together most nights like.

In the 90's you'd have to be dead flash to have a TV/VHS combi enabling you to watch (a still limited version of) whatever you liked. The options were fairly limited. Nowadays the window to the world is a computer with a big screen for watching absolutely anything keeping them up all hours.

When mine are old enough to have phones they'll be kept in storage overnight.

I'm fairly sure at one point my folks house had 5 or maybe 6 tellys.:eek::eek::lol:
No need.

Could just make them turn it off when it's bed time like. You can have that advice for free mate. ;)

My 2 are only young so no need for a telly in the bedroom - tbf they basically have control of the living room tv anyway
