Moving to the city

If you are low on funds have a look at Pelaw in the short term.

It hasn't got that much going for it other than it has cracking links on the Metro to Newcastle, Shields and Sunderland. Also a Lidl and Aldi next to each other:lol:

If I was you I'd move to Tynemouth, 20 mins from city centre on the metro, beautiful beaches, great bars and places to eat.

Its been my plan for a few years but never quite happened for work/lass reasons
It's lush up there, aye. My mate lived in Whitley Bay for a while and he said that was surprisingly nice, too.

I don't need it to be the life and soul of Tyne and Wear so long as I can get around easily. Cheers! See, this is why I started the thread, because I would never have thought about Pelaw. If I'm honest, all I know is that it's a metro stop.

The fact that it is a metro stop is it's main selling point:lol:

The main factor is it's on both metro lines. It would be a cheap base and you can get out of dodge very very quickly.

You are used to Shildon so it won't be a culture shock:lol:

Lass I work with lives there and it frequently takes her an hour given the traffic. (Morpeth).

And that’s not even to the centre of town if thats where you’re working.
