On the subject of Tiger Woods winning today.
I'll throw a few other names into the mix
Roger Federer
Stephen Hendry
Ronnie O' Sullivan (if he can match Henry's world championship haul)
Phil Taylor
Pele
Messi
Ronaldo (the skinny one)

Any consideration of the best ever sportsman should take into account the range of skills that sport tests, rather than just a person's level of dominance of that sport.

So golf, darts, snooker - haway man. And I like snooker.

I agree, so for that reason, anyone who can dominate a sport as complex and challenging as golf deserves to be near the top of any of these lists. ;)

So Tiger Woods is undoubtedly one of the greatest sportsmen ever.

Competitiveness in that sport should play a major factor to. Not many sports when 50 + players have a genuine chance of winning the event like there is in golf
