Missiles being hoyed all game from North Stand Upper

I saw them from the NWC, one went sailing out to land about 5 rows from the front, a stream of piss/beer coming out as it tumbled
 

There was at least 7 bottles, a flare and loads of coins coming down yesterday.

Possibly the most pissed off I've ever been with the club this, the police and stewards we're worse than useless today. Truth is they were calling people liars and even threatened to arrest our fans for having the nerve to complain.

I think it’s down to their limited numbers. You lock a couple of lads up and their position is vacated.

The club seem (IMO) to have cut back on Stewarding and Policing. However, being a steward must be absolute hell. You get absolute shite for fuck all money. Not surprised they struggle to get people to do it.

He’s clearly a good man is SD, definitely wants the best for the fans. I’m sure he’ll do everything in his power to get to the bottom of what went wrong and put measures in place so it doesn’t happen again. I saw from the West Stand and it looked horrible from a distance, never mind actually being in the North Stand. Hope you and everybody else got out unscathed, scummiest set of pricks to ever grace our stadium.

They locked one of our fans up for calling someone a tatey no problem.
 
I witnessed it all first hand sitting just under the shelf of the upper stand. Personally saw a woman amd kid hit 8 - 10 rows in front of me...with the woman taken away by ambulance staff. There were 2 bottles tossed down first half and at least a dozen second half. Saw loads of coins coming down too.

The thing that pissed me right off about our stewarding and which i feel needs reporting was the 2 boxes of Coventry fans right above us goading the Sunderland fans all game and openly enticing trouble. One lad in particular in the black puffer jacket should have been escorted away immediately (anyone there will know exactly who im talking about). The two fat bastards in front of him anarl were a disgrace laughing their tits off as the missiles came down.

What was the reaction by the stewards to calm things down when it was turning extremely hostile? Two suited and booted stewards sent out to stand beside these clowns LAUGHING AND BANTERING WITH THE C.UNT.S the whole second half!

There's banter between fans and then there's openly contributing and enticing hostility and violence which was manifestly apparent...for it to happen under the watch of our own stewards who were more concerned at protecting these cretins from the abuse coming back up to them was a f***ing disgace to witness.

Fair enough. But I’d imagine the plan is to have police all around the ground.

The coppers from the North Stand lower were allocated there so would hardly be able to be sent up stairs.

The whole thing seemed to be reactive rather than proactive.

This is absolutely shocking. Thankfully she is okay and more damage wasn’t done, sounds like a lucky break.

She really needs to be encouraged to make a claim against the club. Unfortunately that’s the only way for any action to happen in future, if complaints and claims go in properly and the club are challenged.
 
My heart goes out to those of you with kids with them in the North stand yesterday.
I was in the south east corner with my 2 lads yesterday and it's such a great 'dad moment' having your kids with you at the match and getting into it. They want to get season tickets next season and love it.

If we had been sat in the North stand and been subjected to that it would have been a different story all together.

Absolute arsehole fans, who the fuck goes on like that. They were edgy as fuck before the game.

Nearly every set of away fans mix well and have a bit crack before and after the game, but these arseholes can fuck off.

It was a cracking game of football overshadowed by those c un ts.

I hope they go out of business.

There were no police around me in the north stand so I reported it to a steward- not saying I expected him to deal with it but I expected him to have at least acknowledged my concern and maybe passed them onto the police

There were Coventry fans standing arms length from officers in the concourse and they done nothing.

Theres was the odd thing coming down all game but there was a 10-15 minute spell in second half after they scored when it was relentless. People saw nothing happen to the first lot throwing so followed suit with a mob mentality.

Police threatening to arrest our fans for complaining about being hit. Total farce.
