Biggest set of cowards I've ever seen at the SOL. I'm not old enough to get myself wound up about the whole Jimmy Hill saga (was only 10 when I was down at Selhurst in 97) so felt a bit of sympathy towards their situation with the owners and stadium issues. But after the way they've carried on at both fixtures this season, they can get fucked.

I’ll call the Mags on most things but let’s not distract this thread with our hate for them. This is Coventry behaving like animals and there not being the manpower or a strategy for dealing with this.

Every organisation complete risk assessments of all activity in its organisation. It has to do it to prove its providing both a safe place and working practises for its staff and visitors. Now it’s not rocket science that missiles from the north stand by away supporters is a risk. The question is how do you mitigate it. It would appear no one thought of that and that’s the bit which is unacceptable.

Presumably that’s the reason the lower seats in the North Stand Upper are left empty. Except for yesterday when there were people in them.

If the upper tier structure doesn't allow for checking people for bottles etc when going into the seat area then don't sell bottles. Similarly, don't sell alcohol when it's edgy.

Don’t agree Cat. There was a match commander. He should have taken action by stopping the game and removing the sunlun fans from the stand as he could not guarrentee their safety.

Or stopping the game so the police could remove the Coventry fans.

Clubs have reduced what they pay the police and their presence is commensurate with that pay. More money, more police, or stewards who can do something.

More policing would of had little affect as they didn't seem to want to do anything about it anyway.
