Looking for a nice village or whatever to do some romancing with a few nice walks, a proper local pub, and a decent restaurant up Scotland way. Any suggestions?

Lochgoilhead Lodges | Holidays at Drimsynie Estate

Stayed in one of these cottages. Cracking little boozer, (not the one on the estate the one in the village) some really nice walks around and shit loads of places to go and buy food produce. Near fyne and got some amazing seafood round there.

Views are amazing of the loch I could have sat all day gazing out. Hired a boat and enjoyed watching submarines messing about.

If there's a local butcher that sells top class haggis mores the better.

Thanks, mate. Looking into it now.

I might have a little discount code if you do go ahead with it, just bear in mind it’s a decent 20 min walk from the cabins to the pubs, canny if you like a nice walk around the top of the Koch but if you like a tumble it can be a bit far. There is a bus and a taxi man if you get really stuck

We stayed in Killin next to Loch Tay last year for a couple of days. The waterfalls are impressive and there are decent pubs hotels etc.

We’ve stayed at the other end of Loch Tay a few times, very good location. Also look at Lochearnhead. It’s the next Loch to the south. It’s a good gateway to the Trossachs, but without the premium.

Wouldn't bother with Loch Lomond, massive let down for me.

Not a village but we stayed just out of Stirling for 4-5 days a few years ago and was a good base for visiting loads of places such as St Andrews. Striling Castle was canny and although pricey entrance loads to see and wasn't mega busy.

She's having a look now. I'll get back to you, mate.

Lomond is shite. Little version of dalton park was a disgraceful choice for such a place.
