I had six of those plug in things dotted about the kitchen and living room and they did absolutely nothing.

I've got one but not convinced it works.
As far as traps go, these ones seem to work a treat.

We did peppermint oil on cotton wool
balls under the kitchen cabinets, that blue pasta bait poison and the plug-in signal things.

Nowt worked but they’ve scarpered since anyway.
