Mouse in the house

Proper neck breaker mousetrap..small amount of Nutella or peanut butter..place traps away from pets and kids..boom..once you get one keep leaving a trap out for a bit just in case there's more than one..what you need to be thinking about though is how did it get in.

Just about to leave for work and heard some scratching in one of the corners of the downstairs ceiling so must be running about somewhere.

Anyone had any successful methods of getting rid of them?

I've let the cat have full roam of the house so she will get it if it appears but now expecting to come home to a scene from SAW of a massacred mouse.
I’ll lend you the cat marra he’s the ginger ninja and a mouse/rat killing machine.....

The pound shop do the black plastic rat traps and they are very good... They also love them chocolate pillow things the kids eat for breakfast...

I had a mouse in my last house running about when we were renovating.

There was a hole in the floor boards and it came through and it the bedroom, so chased it back in and I tried to block the hole with tin foil as it was 1am and didn't have anything else.

Rolled the tin foil into a ball and pushed it in the hole, however I pushed to hard and the ball fell through

Little fucker thought I put a ball in there to play with. Didn't get any sleep that night because of it rolling it about

I know this doesn't help but dont block any holes with tinfoil is all I'm saying

I moved out shortly after so it may still be there

Completely destroy any animal's natural habitat and you destroy it.

If you've seen one there's every chance there are more of the little bastards. As others have said set traps with chocolate and try different places.

Mousetrap with peanut butter lined up facing the skirting boards. Ideally you need to know where they are getting in. Mine seem to be getting in under the bath and I haven't got under it yet to try and find out how. Of all the traps I have around the house, the one in the corner next to the bath is the only one that gets them now.
Mouse will still be running round while cat looks very sheepish with a trap stuck to its sneck !!

aye havent seen one yet. first time this morning in the 3 years living here ive had the issue, only heard some quiet rustling 3mins before leaving for work. not seen any droppings etc.

Cannot use any killing traps or poison since ive got the cat so just bought a couple of the humane traps which the door shuts when inside so hopefully i can get the little bastard.
