Roker Rapport Podcast: With Sunderland AFC owner Stewart Donald

It's that time again - we're sitting down this weekend with Sunderland AFC owner Stewart Donald for the first time since February for another in-depth and exclusive episode of the Roker Rapport Podcast.

As always, I want to canvass as many supporters as possible in order to ensure we cover off all the things people want us to cover off. All questions we put to Stewart will have been submitted by readers, listeners, social media followers and folk off here.

So please, reply to this thread with anything you feel is worth asking and we'll try and squeeze as much as we possibly can into the show.

Cheers!

On a previous RR podcast Jack Ross expressed the view that the couting operation needed more resources and a bit of a shake-up what is Stewarts view of this?

What's going on with Hume's contract? I believe it expires in the summer as well as some other young players.

Is there any truth in the continued takeover rumours? Even in terms of bringing more investment in rather than totally selling the club.

Are they actually going to sell the stadium naming rights? If so can we please stay away from unscrupulous companies such as gambling firms and ensure it stays as The "_" stadium of light please?

Can he tell us if planning for the Summer transfer window has begun, also can he tell us if pre season has been organised, or is in the works.

kimpioka is not out of contract, an extension jight be due but he isnt out of contract in june.

CONTRACTS CONTRACTS CONTRACTS.

Silence is deafening considering all of his talk post-Maja about not being in this situation again.
the post maja talk was about not being in the situation where they have contracts without the automatic extensions.

Yeah I know but Donald said they want to avoid these players going into their last year

Given his passion for football, how easy is it to put a business head on when making decisions? Are there any choices he or the board have made where hearts have ruled heads?

What will be different financially if we're promoted? For instance, are there sponsors that wouldn't get involved with a league one club that would be more interested in the championship? And how do you balance that against relationships made with companies who did come in to work with us this year?

Are we financially better off / worse off than he imagined at this stage of the season when he took over in the summer?
in the januray one he said much better off..he had a number in mind of how much of his own cash he would have had to put in by Jabuary just to keep the club running, but has actually pout in a lot less, and thats why he was able to say in Jan "we are in a very strong financial position" and why he was happy to put his own cash in to sign Grigg.

I’d argue no contract at all is even worse there mate.
of course it is..but not if the players want ludicrous money..

I'm on about kimpioka
who isnt in the last year of his contract/
