Taking the Mrs (no) to Krakow next month for the weekend.

Anyone know any good places for food?

I've been before but it was on my stag do, so didn't get much further than kebab shops and the hard rock cafe.

Cheers...

I loved Krakow me, but have to say the food was awful, even in the more expensive places. Mainly bland gruel and boiled cabbage. Stick to Hard rock
Do not. I used to work for Hard Rock in Hamburg when I was younger, it's just (slightly) upmarket McDonalds, even the potato skins come in frozen. Traditional food in Poland is mint, but don't bother with the place with the fella in my avatar on the sign, quantity over quality (unless you're a fatty, in which case, gan for it).

Traditional food in Poland is rarely mint

If you're not into the traditional food M22 burger is great for a quick bite.

We went into a canny Argentinian steak restaurant just a couple of streets off the main square called Pimiento. Food was nice and like most of Krakow it was far cheaper than what you’d pay here for the equivalent.

it's a few years since we went but I thought the food was excellent when we went. I was expecting boiled cabbage and slop so was really pleasantly surprised.

We stayed round the Jewish area as mentioned above and there were some nice spots there. Theres a square with the singer bar and a few others that are good for cocktails and some cracking restaurants just off them.

I’ve been recommended a restaurant called Miod Malina from people at work for when I go later this year.

Supposedly the food is tremendous.

Anyone been or heard of it ?
