I opened up a debate over the merits of playing in a Mickey Mouse trophy and asked a genuine question as to whether or not we have to play in it. The only one crying here appears to be you as you continue to try and give it the big 'un over your futile, frankly damp squib of a so called protest.

I look forward to your next retort acting the big man once you've read that with your finger.

I'm sorry but that's ridiculous. We should take it seriously. Our history has already being stained with the 19pt season and then the 15pt only to go out and get relegated twice in 2 season. Winning or at least good run in it will give us something to be cheerful about. Even if we could 'opt out' what gives us the right? We knew the repercussions of relegation to League 1 and who are to turn up are noses at the Football League Trophy? We've gone way beyond embarrassment. Maybe this is the reality check everyone at the club needs!
 
We deserve to have to show our face in that competition. Plus might be a day out at Wembley. Think there’s a fine if we don’t play first team.

I take it we can’t enter our under 23s now :lol:

I've no problem with winning it I just doubt we will, and I'd rather not be in it all than see us get turned over off a mags reserve side.
 
I hope we win it but it's still tin pot imo, we beat kids teams to get to the final ffs. It'll do the club and fans good to win it but even if we do win it I'm not attaching any false kind of prestige to it in the years that follow.
