I'll just wait for the midlife crisis to hit before I go that far marraeverytime i see this thread get bumped up I get more and more smug that I gave up on it and bought a motorbike

It makes sense, I've tried all the options for commuting.
8 years on the metro- unreliable, takes about 50mins on a good day when you include walking either side
1 year cycling - good exercise but roads are falling apart and it's not that much fun in the cold months
occasional car- well over an hour of sitting in queues, £10+ a day to park
1 year motorbike - 20-25mins door to do, free parking, no worries about breakdowns, can be cold in winter but it was -7 one morning and plenty of layers meant I was fine. Gives the freedom to go elsewhere on my way home too.
Don’t motorbikes breakdown?
Imagine pulling up to graft on a motorbike Proper leaning owa, knee almost on the road and flashing your pass at the gate
Edit ... back on... legend
well done indeed, all given a £10 eldon square voucher on leaving metro at monument (im assuming those that got off at central/haymarket were given the same)Well done Ben.
