Weight Loss 2019

1st Jan I was 16st 13lbs, (237lbs) I was 15st 1lb when I did the GNR in September, got injured during that run, went straight on holiday afterwards and then got into a low exercise, high alcohol/junk food rut.

As of this morning I was 15st 5.5lbs, (215.5lbs) so 21.5lbs off so far this year. I’ve done that by doing a combination of running, spinning, HIIT classes and walking.

I’ve committed to doing 300 days at 10k+ steps this and I’m tracking that to keep me focused, I do office work so 10k is a solid number to aim at for me through the week.

Food wise I’ve just tried to eat more balanced and make pretty much everything from scratch.

I’ve had no alcohol, full fat fizzy pop or desserts (barring one) so far this year.

Sleeping loads better, fitness level is loads better, stress level is a lot better, life is just better in short.

My immediate goal is to get 14st 2lbs (200lbs) and then see what I want to do from there.

Keep at it everyone!

Just fabulous, you must be well chuffed. I wish I was as strict with myself.

I must admit I've fallen off the wagon a bit and I'm visiting my parents next week so I'm not hopeful of any weight loss, my Mam's cakes are just delicious.

Thanks for kind words, nice to see the rewards on the scales!

Desserts were my biggest issue at first but I’m in the right frame of mind now, once I’m at goal weight I can ease up but for now this is necessary.

I’m trying not to be too pleased with my progress so far because I don’t want to get lazy but I’m pretty happy with fitting back into some smaller clothes again, it’s the next bit that’s more of a grind but I’m starting indoor wall climbing tomorrow so hopefully that will help with weight loss too.

If I don’t mix it up exercise wise I get bored and lose focus so full steam ahead for now!

Just had to buy new tracksuit bottoms wahoo...into either extra small or small depending on make, down from extra large and from an extra large top to a medium.

Diet going well, as of yesterday down to 10 stone
9 lbs so 5 lbs to go to meet next set target. Then might look at getting to 10 stone, see how I look first.

Quite happy as went back to 11 stone 9 lbs November to January 19 as unwell and just junk eating. Last February was 14 stone 10 lbs found it easier to loose weight as my daily steroids have been reduced.

Plus love affair with food has ended as I was eating all the wrong stuff, I still occasionally have a treat of crisps, chocolate or ice cream, but one of them rather than all of them at one sitting.

The war against weight goes on, the battle is not yet won. Good luck to all who are waging this battle with themselves. Fight the good fight, in the end it is worth it, but bloody expensive on new clothes :rolleyes::lol::lol:

Went from 23 stone to 19 stone 7 back end of 2017, ballooned to 24 stone 8 as of February 6th, currently 4lbs down as of the 23rd.

I carry it quite well and I feel much fitter than 24 stone 8 would imply but a lifestyle change is needed.

Highly recommend MyFitnessPal to anyone. Free app where you scan the barcode of what you're eating and it'll tell you the calories and add it to your daily diary

Just had a big birthday weekend.
I was 14st 1lb a week ago. Weighed today and now 14st 4lb.
Most of that is alcohol. Back being a good boy now.
My next goal is to be under 14 stone for the first time in 10 years.
Reckon I can do that by the end of next week.
Possibly.

I went up to 16 8 just after the Christmas holidays. When I went back to work I got a physical job on my feet all day doing over 20,000 steps and continuously lifting, pulling and bending.

I've been staying in a hotel with a gym which I've been going in at 6.30 each morning and swimming on a night (just did 52 lengths). I've been trying to eat healthy, hardly had a drink. Ive lost a grand total of 4 pounds :( in that time. As a positive my resting heart rate has gone down from 77 to 63.

Be patient and keep it at, pal. You'll get there. Good luck!

Cheers mate. I can see my belly going down and I feel a lot stronger and fitter, just not lighter :D. I'm up and off to the gym now, then having 2 poached eggs, brown toast and beans followed by natural yogurt and berries. I think cutting my portion sizes is my next step.

Won't see loads of weight loss initially with the exercise your doing as the loss is fat turning to muscle which weighs heavier anyhow, so your losing flab and replacing with muscle

Portion control will help with weight loss, but watch you do not lose too much protein and carbs as you may lose muscle mass and energy

Been there and just starting to get muscle built, look healthier, but hell, skinny arms and legs with a little pot stomach, which currently woeking hard on and it is going.

Now weigh 10 stone 8 ibs, from 14 stone 10 pounds Feb 18. 4 lbs tp target but nay try for 10 stone, got my calories set to -500 per week which equates to a 1lb weight loss a week.

Slow and gentle is fine for the last bit so hopefully in two months all being well will be where want to be. Barring any mishaps of any type . Stick at it fella, you will get there if I can do it anyone can

23st 12lbs from 24st 4lbs on Saturday morning. Walked 10k after weighing in that day and have stuck to the diet all week. Had a proper shite day at work on Wednesday so only did a 25min brisk walk as head wasn't in it but I went today and pushed out 4miles of running/walking (still a fatty) in an hour. 535kcal down.

Think that's going to be my regimen from now on at the gym. 500kcal 3x a week should help me further.

The quick weight loss will be water weight like but its still nice to see progress

Any exercise is good, start slow and don't hammer it too much, same as the diet. That used to be my mistake hammer them both and injure myself trying any type of excessive exercise too soon, injure myself; so no exercise, no motivation and diet fell away as well. This time no excitement taking over my piss pot of a brain and took note of the body not the brain. Seen continuous weight loss since last Feb 2018, some weeks no loss for two weeks, then started again, slow and steady seems to win the day, if you have a bad day ignore it and start again.

Down hearted a few times and pigged out on crap, and a few days later started again. In May 2015, I was nearly 16 stone, in Feb last year had been a year at 14 stone 10 and decided, this is rubbish go to do something, now at 10 stone 8 lbs. If I can do it anyone can. Had encouragement and help for a period of time, no names (both on here) as mentioned them loads before. Difference this time is injured or ill, stuck to the diet apart from some pig out days. The reward for me is down from 40/42 inch waist to 30/32 waist, for now.

Expensive on clothes, but oh so worth it, rather than be fat and sweaty in summer, I can be skinny and sweaty, but hopefully a lot more comfortable and feeling and looking better. Start now and you will be looking good for summer, loads of motivational help on this thread, just give it a go! Some swear by SW, some Diet and Gym, for myself used the Carbohydrate Counter on Fit-bit Surge, set myself a - 750 loss per day, which was always below, now on a -500 which is a pound per week loss. This works for me, but to be honest and excuse the bad pun (not one size fits all) you need to see what works for you, we are all different just find it and stick with it, takes 33 days to get into the groove, nothing to lose but pounds, weight and money, but what the hell, we are worth it! Go for it!:rolleyes::lol:

8 pounds to go and then the hard part maintaining it!:lol: Good luck, health and success to you all in your campaign, win the battle and the war!
