memory foam mattress

We had a memory foam one but swapped it for a firm pocket sprung with foam top and I find it loads better.

That’s what the otty is tho isn’t it?
Simba is too
Otty has about 10cm of pocket springs in a multi-layer factor - i.e. not just pocket springs with memory foam on top.

Simba is the same, but only 2cm of springs.

Sweat like a pig at first too.
Another reason I went for the Otty. Their top layer has a cooling gel built in, to carry heat away. Its been pretty good so far.

I also have a coolmax protector on though.

Aye that’s what’s I meant, not just all foam, its got the pocket springs with foam layers as well.

I’ve tried the Emma and Simba, Emma was shocking as all various foam layers, simba was better, but none of them came close to “normal” mattresses like the ikea one.

Emma mattress will be going the journey soon and the simba stays on spare bed. None of them seemed anywhere near firm enough for proper support IMO. Reviews seem to suggest the Otty was a bit firmer, but still not entirely sure how firm?

Anyone an expert on these? never had a memory foam one before and online there seems to be loads of companies all saying the are the best (emma, eve sleep, tempa, simba, etc etc)

All very similar in price but cant work out if any are better than others

Cheers

Get a half/half, pocket sprung with gel pillow top. We paid £600 for a silent night one.....class like and weighs a Fookin tonne they were whingeing like fook dragging It up the stairs...

Got two beds, one is my old king size, then we got a superking, put the king in the spare room and oh how I miss it. The mattress I got for the superking was a massive mistake. I have a bad back every day I wake up

Edit: this has nothing to do with your question I just wanted to moan about me bed.

Also recommend mammoth, you can usually get the VAT knocked off as they are medical grade if you say you have neck or back pain etc, no need to provide evidence

I had a Simba, went back (they were great with it). Absolute nightmare memory foam for me, like being stuck in one position all night.

Yea, they knocked the vat of ours when we bought it. Love the bed, it’s unbelievably comfortable
